Central Park hasn't had a month with above normal snowfall since January 2022. In fact, since November 2018 (the snowfall that caused so much problems with NYC traffic), Central Park has had four months with above normal snowfall.

If we can get through this summer without a 100 degree day, Central Park will set the record for most consecutive days without a maximum temperature of at least 100 degrees. Right now we are 318 days from setting the record and are at 4291 days as of yesterday without a 100 degree day.

Central Park needs 2.5" of snow the rest of the way to avoid consecutive winters with under 10 inches of snow (which would be a first).

There have been plenty of days on Long Island where there is no mail delivery during a snowstorm. -
DCA in their reports had a heat index listed because the air temperature hit 81 degrees Fahrenheit. The heat index was the same as the air temperature though because of the 'relatively' low dew point temperatures.

Yes, a couple of times actually. They actually went three out of four seasons under ten inches from 1994 - 1995 to 1997 - 1998.

Each day Central Park sets a new record for most consecutive calendar days without two inches of snow. If Central Park doesn't get 7.7 inches of snow the rest of the winter, it will mark the first time in its history with consecutive winters under ten inches of snow.

How about this for a stat: In 1994 KDCA had four dates with minimum temperatures less than five degrees. How many times have they done that in the thirty years since? Zero times.

1929 - 1932. Right now is number one for most consecutive calendar days without two inches of snow. The Park is about five weeks away from fifth place for most consecutive calendar days without four inches of snow.

In about a week, we should be able to get into second place for all time streaks without a calendar day of three inches of snow.

The period of the essentially first half of meteorological winter (December 1st - January 15th) in Central Park should be in the top ten warmest of all time and quite possible top five warmest of all time.

Central Park three hours ago just tied the record for most consecutive days without at least two inches of snow and tonight at midnight will set the record.

The record for longest streak with less than 2" daily snowfall for Central Park is coming up for December 15th.

The record for least amount of snowfall in a calendar year in Central Park is 3.4 inches in 1913. So far this year, the Park is at 2.3 inches.

An all-time snow season is probably out of reach, but they may have a top-five all time snow year. By the way, you might think they have had a brutally cold winter. Actually January mean temperatures were well above normal, and February as well, up to this point, has been well above normal.

50 of the last 54 days have had above normal mean temperatures at Central Park. Only thing surprising about it? It is not surprising anymore.
