Sorry you spent all your warlock points on may where we had our sunniest may on record
-
You're right. I smelled it too around 12am in NYC , with noticable haze albeit not as extreme as a couple of weeks ago
-
That storm also produced a very brief moment of small hail here in jersey city with gusty winds. 2nd bout of hail this week. Also the haze was very noticeable this evening between 7-9pm , without the smell of a campfire.
-
I think we're good for an inch tomorrow , we do well with warm front convection
-
About to get nailed here in JC
-
Nice line developing in eastern PA, see how much recovery we can do after this initial band
-
Had small hail for like 5 seconds in Jersey City lol
-
Wed was cool and all but I dont want to see that color at 2pm ever again Wildfire smoke. Top headline. Who woulda thought
-
I remember seeing the footage of San Fran a couple of years back and being so jealous. I can't believe we got to experience that. Today was truly surreal and something I'll never forget
-
Wild stuff. All kidding aside , this is defitnitly at the top of the "wtf" spectrum.
-
I cant believe Im this excited for smoke and the winds make it even more unusual.
-
That would be something if we could experience that.

I wanted to comment on this before but since when has our peak svr season been may? I always thought it was between July and September...May and June has always been the driest months usually
-
The moon looked awesome too. Red crescent
-
In the words of nycwinter , I'm wearing my hoodie lol
-
Season of tiny flying white fuzzies , don't know what they are but they're everywhere
-
Some of us like going out
-
Beautiful moon rise this evening. Finally a full nice dry weekend on tap. I know @nycwinterwill still be wearing his Canadian goose in the morning haha Enjoy the weekend fellas!

There's this long strip of vacant grassy land near my area that used to service an old railroad...it's a river now
-
@Rmine1 most of the area got 1.5-2"+ lol

Are we really going to debate whether this pathetic *** rainstorm is a bust or not?
-
We weren't supposed to get heavy rain tonight. Mainly drizzle and light rain. Most short term models forecasted less than 0.25" for tonight. I can see the intensity picking up and becoming more widespread around daybreak , and tapering off towards the afternoon. Our "main event" is Sunday into Monday AM
-
Nice rain event here it's been non stop mod-hvy since 12am , after the mail line
-
Bro I saw a bolt strike no less than 0.25mi in front of me while waiting for the train. Sounded like a bomb saw it coming and the thunder still made me **** my pants
-
Lightning was impressive coming into the metro, def died down a bit but hvy rain here now with an occasional flash
