The National Weather Service in Mount Holly has issued a * Flood Warning for the Raritan River At Manville. * From late tonight to Friday morning. * At 4:15 PM EDT Wednesday the stage was 4.4 feet. * Flood stage is 14.0 feet. * Major flooding is forecast. * Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage late tonight to a crest of 20.8 feet early tomorrow afternoon. It will then fall below flood stage early Friday morning.     The wind is starting to pick up here that’s for sure. Few drops of rain here and there, but it looks like conditions here are deteriorating rather quickly. A bit more ominous looking out there right now.

    Just received notification of a tornado watch for Carteret in effect until 10 PM tonight.

    haha, they can have it. I will go out on a limb as spokesperson for Carteret and say we’re pretty damn tired of the water here!

    Thank you. The discussion currently is (more) about rainfall amounts. Which of course is important. More important to some of us than others! But I have been wondering about the potential for wind to be a problem as well.

    Agreed. And well done to whoever designed, manufactured and set it up. We keep waiting for this camera to go dark, but it just keeps pushing back like, “I’m still standing!”

    Pouring in Carteret. Yesterday it was a constant rain, but seems a heavier rainfall this morning.

    Wow. I was not prepared for that. The wind here in Carteret seemed to come from out of nowhere. Backyard umbrella went flying! Some serious lightning, rumbling, a lot of dark clouds.

    Yes, that is a reflection of the sun. Just the way I caught it as I was walking by!
