  1. I’m which case I assume it’s our thread the needle scenario?
  2. Doesn’t need to be a cutter by any stretch to come too far west.
  3. My gut tells me this phases but comes too far inland. Hope only the first part is true.
  4. I’ve always been curious about our chances without vs. with blocking/neg NAO. Considering how tough it is to get a good setup, is it really that comparatively tough to get significant snows without a ‘good’ setup? Especially considering how many factors are involved in a good setup.
  5. Growing up near Baltimore, this wasn’t a big disappointment because I was twelve years old on a carnival cruise when this storm missed us.
  6. We saw a ton of storms thread the needle this past decade. It’s not quite as rare as purported. In fact sometimes I think we score more on those than we do in ‘perfect setups’, since those are so rare.
  7. I'm just asking for a sustained period of moderate-heavy, accumulating snow. Have barely seen that in almost two seasons.
  8. Sleet now. Only in NYC. Waited all day for good rates.
  9. Man this city sucks. Great returns moving in, not much to show for it. This has happened so often over the past couple years.
  10. It seems like the big rates are inevitably crossing NJ...waiting for something else to go wrong though lol. Mod snow now, back down to 26. Very much doubt we see any rain tonight, would be surprised if we saw much sleet.
  11. I grew up near Baltimore but I've never seen this before.
  12. Still just light snow here. Flakes bigger though.
  13. Looks like we're finally seeing it push east
  14. Man these rates just can't cross NJ. Really frustrating haha.
  15. This I doubt we switch to sleet until it's basically winding down.
  16. Yeah the sleet line really isn't racing like a lot of people are reporting. And many areas behind enemy lines are still switching back to snow.
  17. Snow still light but bigger flakes mixing in, indicative of better rates/growth finally pushing across NJ.
  18. Do you have a longer loop than this, and a link?
  19. Need some of those good rates to make it across NJ.
  20. Moderate snow, decent growth. Lull officially over.
  21. Light snow coming back, 27. Models have some reorganization occurring over the next couple hours so we should get the main show soon. Hoping snow growth is as good as earlier today.

  23. That's an oversimplification. It will not run north/south once the system crosses the mountains.
  24. Yeah I'm confused too. This seems to be right on course.
