I have zero knowledge on ice storms but found this very easy to comprehend. Interesting conclusions on the lower dew points, and falling at night increasing accretion.

not liking my spot for this at all... I'd rather cold rain than another half inch of ice on an inch of snow is like concrete... spots in my driveway are still like an inch of ice, that was nuts
I'd agree. Hope you have a wood stove or something. One plus is afterwards is "warm" and not -10 wind chills.

Moderate snow now and radar is improving. Ride it out.

24*, sand falling from the sky, everything white again. No complaints given the way things started 2 weeks ago.

Big flakes falling. Everything coated. 25/19

Looking a bit juicer and organized on radar than the models depicted.

Just looked at the 12z HRRR. Thing has been $ so far this year. Caught the mix line and timing very well as well as banding areas in the 12-2 storm (although a lot more than was modeled) and did well with the two smaller events. I'll ride it.

RGEM is significantly warmer at H85 and is absolutely putrid for snow in CT, almost nothing up to 84. Pretty much all mix from the start.
Juicer west of Boston, SVT and NH. Mixing to the pike most of the duration.

I’m kinda surprised BOX didn’t issue warnings in areas that could see 6”.
Not that big of a deal but interesting
Didn't 14-16" a couple Monday nights ago get an advisory? lol

You are an Instagram meteorologist, shouldn't you be able to find them?

Winds are roaring. Grill rolled a few feet on the deck.

Cool orographic effect of the Pelham hills noted in the hydrometeors. The apparently blank spots in the image are the hills, ground clutter filtered at 2 degrees tilt. Mt Lincoln is the highest point at 1240'.
Can see everything crystal clear. Wow. Is Mount Toby in second because the 29' is fire tower? lol

38*. HRRR did well with banding last week, maybe again? Also multiply totals by 2.79 lol

I don’t really remember that one. I remember getting a couple events but not a big 20” one.
It could have been January of 2017 then. We had 20" at the house and skied Berkshire East after they got 22". All fell during the day time I remember that much about it.
