  1. Where abouts? I grew up around rt 102/117. Sometimes it could be rain at the intersection and snowing as soon as you went up some of the hills.
  2. Yea this was the first time its actually happened since we moved up here.
  3. Yup, it was weird. Started on our drive home around Pownall. It just stopped.
  4. Not much on radar but its been snowing here for the past 20 minutes. Things are getting covered up.
  5. Oh Reggie. It was liked around here in some early season storms (2014-2016?). IIRC it also picked up on the wild wrap-around banding in December 2019 when BOX maps showed 2-4" for central Mass and we woke up to 10"+.
  6. 95 around Sabbatus is going to be under water soon. This is bad
  7. We are over by Crystal Lake in Gray and have noticed it flicker a times. I thought we had some electrical gremlins in the house.
  8. Ripping now. 1-2" per hour stuff. Eyeballing about 2.5"
  9. Here we go. Right on schedule. Pillow feathers are falling and quickly covering up tracks.
  10. It should really pile up after 9/10pm. I'm more excited for something sneaky tomorrow night.
  11. 36 and mixing in Windham. As soon as I hit Raymond it was straight snow. Everything other than pavement is covered in Gray. I'm loving the look of that inverted trough that shows up on some models. Wherever it sets up someone will get a few extra inches.
  12. Haha, same here. Meanwhile it was almost 80 yesterday and a warm day on the boat.
  13. More consistent gusts in the mid to upper 30s. Just waiting on the power to go out.
  14. When mountain biking this afternoon we came across a big freshly fallen maple and some others from the 20mph winds this morning. Not a good omen. At least this fish were eating well this morning and tonight. On Thompson Lake around 8am there was an armada of pontoons, tri-toons, and ski boats heading to the marina to pull out.
  15. My first memories. Generators, steak on the grill, and seeing pine trees swaying and snapping in my grandparents yard. I was on CC for Bertha in 1996 and that was wild. Beach sand + the wind was painful. SNE is definitely due.
  16. The waves into those big cliffs of West Quoddy will be incredible. As if the carnivorous Pitcher plants are not amazing enough.
  17. Eastport is quite sheltered if you check out a map of it. I was surprised when we went, its surrounded by islands so no wave action. There are also two causeways to get out there that could be an issue. Lubec at least has Quoddy Head. Jonesport or Machias area could actually be better.
  18. I'm surprised to see no lines for gas and Hannaford is empty. @dryslotduring the noontime news broadcast one of the local mets showed sustained around 40mph from mid morning until early evening for you and I. I bet we see some gusts in the mid 50s.
  19. CMP is getting ahead of it by discussing over grown trees on property they can't access on a couple news networks.
  20. I'm still betting we don't have power for a bit here given the size of the windfield. Heck, during Irene in RI we barely sustained 35-40 for a few hours and were without power or cell phones over 8 days. We might stay with someone on the coast for the experience.
