I think we have more overs than unders on NWS maps this season. Previous deals like this we typically do 2-3" more than lower valley sections like Amherst and Northampton. I think @HIPPYVALLEY does well and pushes 6" being further north.
Weenie mode: engage.

0.9. Love going for a run in this type of cold with a clear night sky.

Happy to see the Bruins break the curse in Washington. Sometimes those visors do more harm than good. Anyone know what the trainer was trying to clog Marchand's nose with? Never seen that before.

These little streamers are pretty fun to see today. One up on Rt. 2 area now. From Berkshire East.

Right? There was a couple minute period when it was going pretty good. Still dropping cat paws here.

Roads and surfaces are covered, a little streamer has been sitting over us for about 30 minutes now. Some of the best rates of the year sadly.

It is running wild in the valley. Our kiddos school has 5 classrooms with 10-12 toddlers to preschoolers in each room. This week they only had 3 rooms open with 2-3 kids in each room.

We skied Cannon today. The layer of powder/mashed potatoes covered up some of the ice so it was workable. Back to BW on Monday. No one in NH can beat their conditions, IMO. I keep trying these other places and have a good time but our home mountain is BW for sure. They need to get some steeper terrain and glades open though. Getting a little bored just racing my kids on groomers. LOL
Wildcat still has very little open. I haven't gone there yet. Waiting until they get a real snowstorm. Their manmade ribbon of death is not compelling.
Not sure how far of a trip it is for you but when they get some natural Black Mountain of Maine has some pretty amazing glades. Black Mountain NH has some pretty under rated terrain as well. Obviously both are smaller and have older lifts but it keeps the crowds away. And tickets are really cheap. I think NoBoundaries is doing a "free day" at BMOM.

looks models arent prefect but they’re better than chewing on dry spaghetti spitting it out on the floor and counting the pieces of spaghetti that aren’t stuck together and calling that for the storm total.
Tried and I got 6. Seems to be in-line with the forecast here. Solid science.

Not sure if it is too far off-shore for radar to pick-up or what but the convection off the Carolinas seems to have dissipated since 5/6pm.

Used to fish there a lot, some remains of buildings are still visible, there's an island where a house was and the only thing left is the chimney, beautiful place, thinking of getting another boat and start fishing out there again. Good snow spot too.
The only building left now is the stone club house for the golf course on one of the islands out of Gate 43. Was a popular spot during prohibition. This is a decent watch.

We were already marginally on the fringe of this system. If this nowcasts East, it’s going to be laughable that they canceled for an inch or two.
I figured they would be closing up quickly with the number of teachers out and lack of subs. My wife's still hasn't yet despite everyone around them being closed and they are beyond short-staffed.

Weird area. 19" overnight and 27" in 24 hours in early December 2018(?), Stowe got about 5-6" and a total of about 10". I remember being torn between the two on my drive up and couldn't believe the SB report. A memorable one. Hiked over to Castlerock and ran into John Atkinson et al. doing photo shoots before it officially opened, there were 5-6' drifts on the waterbars of the Lift Line.

Any way to look for potential screw holes/poor growth areas or is it generally just around the areas that receiver better banding?

Email from Spectrum thinks we're getting severe weather from 2-4". Oh no! Run and hide. Prepare while you can. Seek shelter. More fear porn.
"Recent forecasts indicate severe weather may affect your area. As a result, we're preparing for Spectrum service outages. If you lose power, please contact your local power provider."
I think it's an easy excuse for something other than the weather. Never had internet issues with them in 3+ years (other than losing power), it has been in and out multiple times this morning.

Dry to 27*, heavy freezing rain and accidents everywhere in 45 minutes. Driving my truck felt more like driving a boat.

I like how the Nam is pulling moisture up from way down in the Caribbean and the Gulf at 57 hr.....always a good sign for an out of control 18z run, unless of course it fumbles the handoff
18z NAM runs are always the juiciest.

NAM is going to be good. Big jump from 12z.
