  1. AM WX NE forum: Come for the Weather discussion and camaraderie; stay for the infighting, melts and recrimination!
  2. 4.3 here, it was harder to shovel than the 20" last month.
  3. We just did about 10 minutes ago. It should be working its way back to you soon enough.
  4. 2.0 as of 7.45 am. We have had snow, sleet and some drizzle. No FZRN accumulation noticed. Back to snow at the moment.
  5. "Signiciant upper middle Atlantic S/CNE mix/snow potential Jan 3+" Tip may have just broken the record for most adjectives in a thread title.
  6. It looks like the 12z GFS is joining the party for the 4th however. vs 6z
  7. The GGEM hasn't scored on a major storm in this area in at least 12 days.
  8. light dusting here. I was shocked this morning as I had to go down to town first thing.. The snow cover was the opposite of normal. The lower I went in elevation the more snow had survived the Christmas melt. I guess cold air must have been trapped lower while we got the warmth. It was an odd surprise to see a few inches of glacier in town while even our woods were scoured clean.
  9. Well that makes it worth watching!
  10. "Now for our next story kids, Grampa will tell you of the time I met Fleetwood Mac" Twas the Night of the Concert And all through the Civic Center No security was stirring Not even the guy on the door. The Amps were hung by the stage with care In hopes that Lindsay would soon be there ...."
  11. It didn't seem like we got much rain out of this- long duration but not heavy at anyone time. That being said the pack is toast and all of a sudden this morning our springs all erupted and streams started from all parts of our hill. Look like KLEB has 0.90 so far which feels right. The two closest stations on WUnderground are at 1.26 and 1.56.
  12. I remember one year in NJ it was warm and snowless and in the afternoon watching whatever Bowl game they play in El Paso. It snowed the whole game in Texas while we had a brown Christmas.
  13. Merry Christmas 2020 ! The year my kid started sleeping in on Christmas, no note to Santa, etc
  14. Last round I played was in St. Andrews about 15 years ago. I was playing the course adjacent to the Old Course. First tee I sliced into the fairway of the Old Course hole. I ran over and played from there so I can truthfully say I played on the Old Course at St Andrews. The wind picked up as I played. I lost some balls into the sea, others into gorse. The guys from the local University that I was playing with had season passes, cut a few holes to finish sooner, and left me behind. Eventually on the 15th or 16th, just so I could finish, I had to buy some balls from some young kids who were fishing them out of a pond to sell on. Fun and relaxed experience. There was even an older local man walking him dog off-leash through the course.
  15. Um those returns over the Delmarva are interesting.
  16. 36F here, snow compacted in a hurry the past day or so and will go fast today.
  17. Grinch storm of 2007 took us from 22" to zip in Bethlehem NH.
  18. I was cooking dinner on Sunday night. I was distracted for a couple of seconds and stood too close to the gas stove. I set the front of my sweater on fire. That pretty well summed up 2020 in my eyes.
  19. Snowing lightly here, it has been doing so off and on all morning.
  20. Is it too early to start the thread for the 2021 Grinch Storm yet? While it is locked in, I could see how it might be confusing to have it open along with the 2020 thread.
