  1. But I thought South Carolina was this great place where everything was completely normal and there is no war in Ba Sing Se no Covid in South Carolina.
  2. But you see they got to keep incessantly saying it over and over again so that maybe doing that makes it true.
  3. Honestly I would put it as early as late next week. We just recorded 82,000+ new cases on a Saturday. I got a feeling this country is about to some serious New York or Italy level crap all over in the next few weeks.
  4. I would say its more the fact that people never really followed lockdowns at all outside of like April and that fact has now massively screwed us over. Also doesnt help when your governonr can't do anything without the legislature and the tavern league killing it in court.
  5. inb4 this one random storm becomes the first 12"er in like 10 years down there.
  6. Des Moines getting 7" on October 19th. Just like we all predicted.
  7. Same here. I honestly don't remember 13-14 to be that extraordinary outside of the constant cold around here. We didn't get nearly the same snow amounts as pretty much the rest of the Midwest did. 07-08 on the other hand, well it's 07-08. It's our snowiest winter by over 30". Even up here by Green Bay it is one of the snowier winters up here with like 80". What is crazy about that winter is it was all pretty much nickel and dimes. We really only had one big storm in 2/6/08. The rest of the winter it was just constant 3-5 inchers with some 6-8's spread in there too.
  8. Yeah Wisconsin has had site maintenance all weekend long. Should be back to reporting tmrw I think.
  9. I don't come in this thread very much, but holy crap Wisconsin is doing absolutely terrible. Our state positivity rate is 26.5%!!! right now. We have had over 3k new cases a day for the last week and I wouldn't be surprised if we break 4k or 5k new cases a day next week the way we are going. Some counties in this state have over a 50% positivity rate right now. Nowhere is safe either, as rural counties are getting as slammed as the urban counties are. Areas as rural as Mountain or Stratford are over 100 confirmed cases in their census tracts. Our deaths are starting to go up too. We just had 19 reported today and had over 30 at one point last week. And yet life is still totally normal here. Not a lot of masks or social distancing. Everytime our governor tries to do something, it gets shot down in court. Our Grade A legislature hasn't met in 140 (!) Days. Also we got a Trump rally in Rock County tomorrow, where 1 in every 138 people have COVID rn. That event is going to be the mother of all superspreaders. And we aren't even close to the peak of this yet.
  10. Temps have dropped like a rock here. Already 37 and it's only 11pm. I wonder how this area fares in Radiational Cooling considering it's very low and the valley is shaped pretty decent for CAD, but it's also a urban area too.
  11. Not everyday you see Cook County under a Red Flag warning not in March or April.
  12. I think a lot of Oaks and Elms? I am not entirely sure.
  13. Around where I normally live it always seems like that the colors are dull. Even when the rest of the area has pretty vibrant colors. I don't know if it's just the trees around me or what.
  14. Yeah around here the color really has started to explode the last 2-3 days. I think peak will be next weekend, which is a week earlier than normal. It'll be nice to have a vibrant colors year for once after the last 4 years of dull colors.
  15. Well up here in De Pere it has been a pretty chill September so far. Did not get the rain that Madison got up here last week, only 1-2" or so. The forecast looks pretty chilly the next few days, I have got frost advisories as close as Marinette and Shawano counties so that's nice. I expect that where I am in De Pere is a holdout for frost in the area. It's all urban and while we are low we are also only 7 miles or so from the lake. Up north though they might get into the 20's in the regular cold spots up by Rhinelander and Wausau. It'll be very interesting to see the little weather quirks of the area when I am around here.
  16. I am up here for College until (hopefully) November.
  17. You underestimate the power of January in Wisconsin.
  18. I think I can speak for most of wisconsin when I say that another 07-08 would be great.
  19. Madison finally hit 90 today. First one all year although we did get 89ed 5 or 6 times beforehand
  20. So Cristobal made it all the way to *checks notes* Richland County before becoming extratropical. That's a sentence I would never have thought of writing before this. To put it in perspective it actually made it farther north than where I am, albeit not by much. It's actual effects were a lot more benign though. We did eventually get the wind and we topped at probably 40-50 mph. Rain-wise we got our couple inches, it was absolutely pouring at a few points. Overall just a cool event.
  21. Well so far it's been pretty benign here. We got to about 85 or so before the clouds started to move in, and now we are down to about 73. The wind picked up at 1 and we got to 20-30 mph before the rain moved in. Strangely enough the wind has actually died down during these rain showers, although the heavier stuff is getting closer so we will see how that turns out. My county is in the boring zone. Flash flood watches next county to my west and Wind advisories next county to my east. Kind of annoying ngl.
  22. I don't like the idea of those PWATS combined with a very strong low and tropical remnants. That could be a potentially serious flood threat, especially if it goes over the very wet areas from the last couple of weeks. Combined with the potential wind and this could be quite interesting next Wednesday/Thursday.
  23. I don't really see why we wouldn't get anything tonight. The whole setup screams at least a decent squall line coming through. Although what I don't get is MKX showing the storm going through the area NW-SE when again that's not really going to be the case.
