  1. Nope, never done that. But honestly, last time I was there was probably like the late 1980s!
  2. Agree! Haven't been back there in a lot of years, but have been there a few times long ago, in another dimension of time when I lived in Ohio! ETA: At my age now, not sure I'd much care for or be able to handle a lot of these roller coasters anymore!! LOL!!
  3. I'm going to call this the cedar point storm because the Rollercoaster ride for this event has been off the chart Been to Cedar Point a few times years ago, fun place if you've ever been there. Grew up in northeast Ohio and it wasn't a far drive to go out to Sandusky. Great park, and yeah, the roller coaster capitol of the world LOL!!
  4. But regardless, just make sure you slant-stick!
  5. Maybe they'll cry out for help before melting. Horton Hears a Who?
  6. C'mon man, like Clark Griswold in "National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation", you were secretly wishing for the lifetime membership in the Jelly of the Month Club!!
  7. It does look that way, indeed. Can't take any one deterministic outlook at face value at this range (of course!). But there have been some wacky looking scenarios thrown out there starting about next Wednesday or so.
  8. But it is true that some people's keyboard puke is better than other's!!
  9. To sort of paraphrase Shakespeare, "a snowstorm by any name must smell the sleet!"
  10. I suspect he's got a full color copy of that sounding taped on his wall...
  11. What do temps look like through most of this, offhand?
  12. So am I...well, sort of! Luck in this area (of the good variety)? Hmmmm!
  13. I saw that on Raven's loop earlier...looks like it's a tad southwest and tucked more, though the low is a little weaker (not sure if that matters much in the end).
  14. Historically, not sure we normally have better luck!!
  15. Just so that everyone keeps their inner "Ji" to themselves!!
  16. For some reason, I always found this emoji particularly amusing! Like it gives a defiant sniff, before jumping off the ledge. On the other hand, I never liked that "grimace" one (), maybe because it's always used for something bad!!
  17. For those who don't remember the Feb. 25, 2007 event I mentioned earlier, here's a photo I took (from the Capitol Hill northeast neighborhood, where I was living at the time):
  18. That's the general range I'm thinking. But it will be paste and stick to everything, and should be very photogenic!! I sort of look at this as a combination of Jan. 26, 2011 ("Commutageddon") and Feb. 25, 2007 (if anyone remembers that one). Both were paste bombs. The Feb. 2007 one was originally supposed to be icy, but we ended up with good rates and ~5" snow that stuck everywhere as it fell. Both were near or slightly above freezing during the snow.
  19. Damn, that sounds tasty!! Nice kick too, with the red curry.
  20. Hello Bob!! Now we know it's on! Good to see you...and nice dissertation you wrote up a few posts back!
