  1. Mmmmmmm! Love a good Manhattan. With Maker's Mark.
  2. Yes... Sir Elton John's birthday is March 25, almost forgot that. Also Howard Cosell!
  3. Water is older than dirt?? Never knew that!
  4. Meh...Get Off My Lawn!! (You're in the way of the cloud I'm trying to yell at!!)
  5. Hahaha!! I was just thinking the same thing! Now when you start using anniversaries of your 39th, you know you're getting along there!! Or when the number of times you've turned 29 is now legally of age to drink!
  6. Thank you!! That's kind of cool. I knew one person years ago who had the same date birthday.
  7. Tulips coming soon, mappy! But for now, a daffodil...
  8. I thought it's more that at that age (early 20s) we're too poor to afford the good stuff still, so settle for whatever one can get!! I still vaguely remember in college that getting Michelob was a treat (compared to the other sh*t beers you normally can get at the student bars)!!
  9. Mine is on Thursday this week! Yeah, seems like a lot of March birthdays, or maybe I just notice more because mine is then. But I know 4 other people well (friends/family) who also have birthdays in March!
  10. Happy Birthday...and now being "of age"!!
  11. Have a great birthday! March birthdays are awesome, but perhaps I'm biased!
  12. I will have to say it is kind of cool having a birthday during March Madness (mine is the 25th, next Thursday). However, that said, I still have bad memories of 1988, when Purdue (where I was in school at the time, for undergrad) had an awesome team that year. They were favored to go far in the tourney and were ranked #2 at the end of the season. They got the #1 seed in the Midwest bracket, won the first 2 rounds handily. But then on Friday night, March 25 that year, they LOST a tough one to Kansas State (the 4 seed) in the Sweet 16 by 3 points and had a couple of bad plays at the end that may have cost them. Funny thing is, they played K State earlier in the regular season and won that game big. Oh well!!
  13. All right!!! Go Jackets...cheers to the "Ramblin' Wreck!" I wasn't there during the Storm of the Century...at the time was in Ohio for that, working for a small private forecasting company during the event! We got about 8-12" in northeast Ohio along with blizzard warnings. Closed down the eastern part of the Ohio Turnpike for awhile. Fun time! I also remember that company had a contract to give forecasts to the New York Thruway (God, that was a chore!). I was sending out forecasts of 2-4 *feet* for much of the central and eastern part of the Thruway. It was so unusual that I even got a phone call asking if that was real, and I had to assure them that it was serious!! I think Syracuse, NY got 40" as I recall. Went to Tech about a year or so later for grad school. I did hear how bad it was in the Atlanta area. You mentioned they issued blizzard warnings in a comment you made the other day? Didn't realize that. From what I recall, the official airport measurement was around 4" (unreal for there any time, let alone March!), but parts of the metro area and north got a foot. I read stories about how people along I-75/85 and other major roads got trapped, and just abandoned their vehicles and walked, because it was impossible to drive.
  14. Oh sorry, was that cancel culture?
  15. I say the same thing about the Cavs in 2016 when they won the NBA finals! Then suffered through the Indians losing their 2nd World Series game 7 in extra innings (other one was 1997).
  16. Make sure to clear your cicada board every 6 hours and don't slant-stick!
  17. I can ask the same about the posts you have made. You really this obtuse or deliberately trolling? Oy gevalt!
  18. Seriously? Really? Come on, get over yourself and your supposed "victimhood"...yeesh!
  19. Dude... Nothing compared to Cleveland Indians games back in the late '70s and '80s! I attended a number of games and the crowd was definitely sparse! Socially distanced before it was a thing hahaha! And it seemed even emptier at the old Municipal Stadium (where they used to play) with its capacity of 81,000. Friend of mine and I would get the cheap general admission seats and halfway through the game could move up into the good seats. Ushers didn't really care, unless you tried to sneak into a box seat!
  20. Ahhh, I remember taking Latin for a few years as well! My brother, ever the smart-ass about some things (especially growing up), would always say "semper ubi sub ubi!"
  21. Ahh, but of course! Not too long until those will be coming up. (ETA: And thanks, by the way!)
  22. I hate it when weather gets into my beer or food!
