  1. Hahaha, true, I love that one as well! The way he says "Hot Pockets!" in that sing-song voice is hilarious.
  2. I hope your rescue is OK!! He looks so cute! Agree about Jim Gaffigan, too! I had a chance to see him early last March in Cleveland (just before all the COVID restrictions started), my sister-in-law got tickets and I went on up there for the weekend. Hilarious!! His routine on bacon is great, if you've ever seen it (one of the funniest lines from that is "the only problem with bacon is it makes you thirsty...for more bacon!").
  3. Interesting with the gusty winds and clear skies, one might offhand think it would be cold or chilly out because of that, especially this time of year. But it's nearly 80 degrees!
  4. I will share photos, indeed! I'm already on the hook for some tulips for @mappy, when they start blooming! That's cool about "The Queen's Gambit!" Haven't seen that. And glad to see another chess aficionado, though I'm probably not all that good (not as good as I was when I used to play more). I still enjoy reading about some of these historical players and their games/tournaments, especially the older ones from the early and mid 20th century. Capablanca, Lasker, Tarrasch, Bronstein, etc. I believe @yoda is a chess fan as well.
  5. Holy cow, just looked at that a moment ago. Reminds me of how it looked during that outbreak in like April 2011 or 2012!
  6. Glad things are looking well, especially with your back improving! Ohhhh, BBQ! Damn I could go for that!!
  7. I would be proud to partake of your pecan pie!
  8. Treated myself to a used Sigma 100-400mm telephoto lens, which arrived today. Nice! And in excellent shape for the price as used. Tried it out a little, works great, but damn it's kinda heavy especially on the full frame Canon I have! Thank goodness for image stabilization! It's not all that extremely heavy, and much lighter than some other really long telephotos, but definitely need to be careful lining up a shot (especially at the long end).
  9. Thank you!! Hope you are doing well these days yourself... Mangoes are great, especially fresh (never had them right off the tree though). The only thing is peeling and cutting the damned things! I've seen videos, tried it myself, but it's a mess anyhow!
  10. I've heard a similar thing for "praline". If you pronounce it like "pray-leen" in New Orleans, they'll about toss you out of the city!! It's supposed to be "praw-leen". But I guess that's true anywhere in the South!
  11. Thanks, you too! I figure I'm old enough to know better...but still young enough not to care!! I guess that's similar to being old enough to have no F's to give!
  12. Oh yeah...pecan pie for sure!!!
  13. Yes...Hawaiian pizza, ham/pineapple!!
  14. I actually got carded a few years back, upon buying a couple bottles of wine. A week before my birthday. Now to be sure, it was at the Giant in the Cathedral Heights area, which is near American University. So they probably were carding anyone and everyone just because of that. But still, it was surprising because I'm well beyond the "hmmm, you could be under 21 and look like a student, so better check" age!!
  15. So, I take it that @stormtracker really, really likes cherries?? Hard to tell from the vague posts...
  16. Happy Birthday, @vastateofmind...fellow March 25-er!! Time for some free beer! I turn 29 again today, more times than @mappy but likely fewer than @H2O!!
  17. Tomatoes!! Technically a fruit, ya know! There's a quote I saw once, went something like, "Knowledge is understanding that tomato is a fruit. Experience is realizing you don't put it into a fruit salad."
  18. Yeah, either those or Clementines...very similar.
  19. Even better than Vienna sausages in gelled Spaghetti-Ohs? Ohhhh, shoot! Bringing that up is almost as forbidden as politics...perhaps worse!!
  20. Ohhhh tasty! I need a 2nd dinner!
  21. Personally, I just cannot wait to burn all my Dr. Seuss books and destroy Mr. Potato Head, to show my outrage! Since apparently the evil gubbmint is telling me that those items are banned. Oh wait! They're not! Well damn, now my Seuss books are lying in embers! And weren't we supposed to be down to zero cases of COVID at this time last year? Ooops. End of snark.
  22. For winter you could perhaps use weenies, or snowflakes.
  23. This native Clevelander says "welcome to the party, pal!!" Though to be sure, the Browns have improved.
  24. Begs the question, what should the mascot or logo for "WTF" be?? A facepalm?
