  1. Right. It's very easy to get all caught up in the weeds (every detail of every model run!), and I admit to doing that somewhat myself at times. It's pretty evident what the character of this winter has been. I have joked about "hell, let's just go for the shutout, who cares at this point!", but in all honesty I kind of think along the same lines you do. We'll see snow. It may not be at the most ideal time that many in here care for (late Feb or Mar), but I think we'll see something other than a slushy coating. Not sure why, but I would not be surprised at all if we get a decent, trackable event heading into March. Or something that kind of sneaks up on us. Not a big storm, but something of warning-level criteria. Maybe I feel like this because that has happened before, where we get a consolation prize of sorts near the end of winter after a craptastic season. Or I'm just crazy for hoping, LOL!! Probably more of the latter.
  2. Complete shutout this winter is far more likely than the Iggles losing!
  3. So earlier today I was out at a Home Depot, and happened to walk down the window blinds aisle. Honestly, they looked quite shitty to me.
  4. LOL! Well, not to get overly political, but since you started it (haha!), I'd rather a lot more BLUE and purple on the map, myself!!
  5. Well who knows...maybe we'll back our way into some decent March event! I know several here don't care for March snows, but I don't mind them! We've had some good ones over the years. And at this point with January gone, and February going...going...(gone?), I'd take a solid event in March (or later February) if we happened to get one. (Speaking of "Morch"...I remember the absolute real March torch we got in 2012!! 80 degree days, and the cherry blossoms were in full bloom by St. Paddy's Day! It was ridiculous. I think that also led into a hot summer, when we had back-to-back Julys with 100+ temps...ugh! I remember that because I was playing softball at the time and it was awful! )
  6. This winter hasn't exactly inspired me all that much for taking photos (no snow!!). But even as dull as it can be in January, there's still some things out there in nature that are interesting! Here are some wispy seeds (taken with a macro lens close up)... And the moon shrouded in clouds (I added a blueish/orchid tint to make the clouds look kind of like smoke)...
  7. That is amazing and hilarious! Up there with @Jebman's famous rant about New England snow years ago. Congrats, you win the interwebs with that one!
  8. I think @GATECH absconded with it! Don't fear, I'm sure the SE ridge will roar back more than we care for, at the worst possible time!
  9. That's close to DEFECATION, as in on the blinds...
  10. Gerunds... Wow that takes me way back to when I once took Latin!
  11. Yup. Lots of flags on the play and red cards!
  12. I once went to a fight and a hockey game broke out! (old joke, I know)
  13. That awful image of...whatever it was!...that @H2O posted earlier, now THAT's a real turd in the punch bowl!!
  14. This is the cuisine version of the pumped-up (engorged???) southeast ridge and the WAR! Instead of a fine cake or pie, we end up with pimento-filled green olives and...whatever that gray shit is!
  15. The deviled eggs are the LEAST of my concerns in that image! And that's saying something!
  16. I know, right?! A whole new level of repulsive in there! The Spaghetti-oh wieners almost look appetizing by comparison, and I can't believe I just said that!
  17. Ummm...errrr...that's just...well, I got nothin'! Excuse me while I go puke a little! (Wait, OK, are those oysters mixed in there?). You need carrot cake!! @WxWatcher007, where's your @Mrs.J bat signal! We need that STAT!!
  18. That's a big step up from your weenies in spaghetti-ohs!
  19. Good thing you ignored that engorgement! (sorry, couldn't resist!)
  20. No frosted poop emoji anymore! But seriously, I can take a wild guess that you're not overly enthused about the upcoming window (such as it is), and I honestly couldn't blame you if that's truly how you feel. It has been frustrating, and we can only hope that one of these will actually work! (I suspect you're getting ready to throw the book at us!)
