The good thing is that the models have already underperformed a bit on precip compared to the current radar. Makes me a bit optimistic that more of wnc can get involved.
Today is the day we need to see some love and movement from the short range guidance. You can throw the gfs and euro out at this point. We need the HRRR, NAM 3k and GDPS to start setting up shop where we need it.
The overall trend has been consistent today and we’re very much in the game. Fingers crossed tomorrow continues to fine tune the details and deliver some moisture this way.
The models are finally getting a clue. Maybe it took yesterday’s storm getting out of the picture to help things out. Either way, let’s freakin reel one in!
@Hvward, I can’t remember how the models progressed during that Dec 2017 storm but do I recall it being basically a non-event until the short range came into view?
I creep on your thread because the discussion is always so good and in-depth. Just wanted to drop in and say I’m happy for you guys. Reel these storms in and take plenty of pics for your brethren east of the Apps that can’t make a thing happen.
