  1. Yup, calling for up to an inch at my place in Hardeman County. Hasn’t changed over to snow at my place (25 miles south of Jackson) yet but, I will keep y’all posted. Under a winter weather advisory now, winds are gonna be howling tonight too!!
  2. MJO possibly could be at or in a colder phase towards the end of the November. May get December started off right and chilly if it pans out.
  3. Heavy sleet in Tulsa as well as per the OKL/TX/ARK thread. Definitely interesting developments IMO.
  4. Good stuff, guys. Hope y’all can get the full changeover and pick up some snow!!
  5. I’m anxious to see how the models do in northwestern ARkansas and southwestern MO, their under a winter wether advisory now. Once they start to get affected we can have a better idea how this system is tracking towards us, and if certain models were/are correct.
  6. Reports of sleet out in western Oklahoma at the moment.
  7. Yup, Climo and microclimates makes this a tough call. Gotta think somebody somewhere is in a sweet spot though
  8. I think somebody will get a nice surprise out of This storm. Models are struggling although it seems like there’s more consistency and unison amongst some of the models this morning though.
  9. Yup, I got The NAM hammer pretty good on that run too. It’s fun to see models spitting out possibilities like this so early in the season. WRF-ARW is in board as well
  10. It’s funny, the past 2, maybe 3 years, we’ve had some sort of snow in November in west Tn. Never more than an inch but still, that never used to happen from what I remember as a kid. Just seems odd that I’ve seen it in multiple years now.
  11. Either way, it looks like we’ve got some serious cold heading our way.
  12. Heavy frost this morning at my house (about 60 miles northeast of Memphis.
  13. It’s pretty darn cold on the west side of the state this morning. Amazing how cold it is, especially on Halloween. I wonder where we stand for record lows, I’ll have to look into that and see.
  14. Looks like the first freeze of the year is imminent for west Tn in the next 7 days. Looks downright chilly after our storm blows threw tomorrow. Picked up 5 1/2 inches from Friday morning to Sunday afternoon over this past weekend. With another inch or two expected in the next 24-48 hours.
  15. @jaxjagman did you see the pictures of multiple big trucks blown over on the Tennessee River Bridge I-40 in Decatur county. Looks like 4 or 5 guys had a rough day, wind gust atop the bridge must of been insane.
  16. I guess it’s a good thing that this system moved through just after sunrise instead of during the night. There’s a few neighborhoods that got hit pretty hard. I Have a friend in Memphis who sent me a picture, his neighbor had a enormous Oak tree fall thru the front of the house. Lots of power outages as well.
  17. Interesting morning in west TN today. Had multiple severe cells come thru, lots of rain and wind. Apparently Memphis had a tornado touch down around the cottonwood apartment complex area.
  18. Time will tell, doesn’t surprise me though given how stubborn the SE ridge has been to us in recent memory. The next 10-15 days should give us some clarity.
  19. Looks like the -NAO is trying to show back up on modeling. If what is being showed happens in reality ( not just on modeling) then that probably ups the chances of it happening again, due to feedback loops. We haven’t been in that type of flow in a few years so I’m excited to see how this progresses!
  20. Well fellas, it feels wonderful this morning on my way into work. The clammy heat is gone and I’ve got my long sleeves and jeans on!! Cool weather for the win finally!! Let’s hope summer temps are fine for good now! Hope everyone is doing well..
  21. My golf course is burnt up right now, been dealing with irrigation problems all week. We need some rain in a bad way!!
