    When we want spring weather in March or early April, then we will all get some snow. I’m calling it now, lol. All this moisture is really saturating my golf course btw. I don’t know if it’s ever gonna dry out.

    Looks like we should be in phase 7 today, looks to be heading towards the cod area though so we shouldn’t be in phase 7 very long if it pans out. If it stays in phase 7 than that could be a sign of a spring though as most cold events in spring happen when we’re in phase 7. Just some stuff I’m noticing

    Late season modoki signal?!? Just noticing the colder waters of the northern coast of western South America. Warm waters in the central pacific are definitely more dispersed In that 2nd graph too

    From far, do you think this could outbreak could be like the cold outbreak in 2017 that kept us under freezing for two weeks or so? Just curious if you see similarities, I know we were really dry a lot of the time in 2017 and finally got lucky with the trowal event we had. Just curious if HP could also ruin this cold outbreak as well

    Lots of limbs down, outside of that everything is ok after those initial cells came through. Looks like all rain from here on out.

    60-70 mph when the front end of the system came through this morning. Pretty nasty front line honestly. Don’t know how well it will stay together as it crosses the state though.

    Plenty of cold air at the end of its run, Canada is an ice box from west to east. Too bad it’s all the way out at the 15th timeframe

    Off topic John- but do you remember the last time we had a good February snowstorm in the sub forum?

    We’ve broke records the past 2 years for yearly rainfall totals, would not surprise me if we do it a third year in a row. It Stinks we can’t get some sustainable cold to set in to work with the moisture though, your warm and wet scenario is spot on. It Sucks we have to wait and see if we’re gonna get bailed out in the next 60 days. I’m not feeling very optimistic though, something feels off this year, More so than last year from my perspective.

    Feels like we’ve been having the same convo the for past 3 winters. Warmth that stretches into January (prime winter climo) and we Never really recover from it. And before we know it February’s almost done and that’s that. Guess I need to plan a trip to Colorado.
