    I’ve got a good Dusting 40 miles north oF the Mississippi/Tennessee state line in Southwest TN.

    Good storm for Deep South folks, not expecting anything in MBY. I hope we can get more cold air in place before this storm track that’s embedded changes up on us.

    WRF-ArW looks pretty similar too in terms of storm track. Precip shield blossoms better as it moves north also. Take that with a huge grain of salt as it is the WRF though.

    Yeah, the NAM definitely likes this system right now. Good trends on their overnight models for north Ms and west TN. Saw where a winter storm watch is out in Shreveport LA, I’m sure it’s beem quite a while since that happened down there. NWS is creeping east north east with their watches and warnings so they must think what the models are showing has some credence

    My heart just skipped a beat Holston!!!! lol. Thanks for sharing buddy, I just hope that piece of energy doesn’t shear out as it moves north from Mississippi into Tennessee. High temp is forecasted at 37 on Monday right now for MBY, hopefully that holds or moves down a tad between now and then.

    Man I really like that look!! Euro has been consistent with this look the past 3 runs if I’m not mistaken. 84 hr nam with nearly the identical storm track as depicted here.

    Light rain starting to fall on the west side of the state, storm system is definitely wound up as it’s moving into the area.

    .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Friday through Wednesday Another round of rain and snow is expected Sunday night, Monday into Monday night with the highest chance of precipitation over North Mississippi. Any snow Sunday night will likely change over to rain Monday, then back to snow Monday night. No accumulation is expected. Elevated roadways could become slick late Monday night into early Tuesday. NWS Memphis is mentioning the Sunday through Tuesday threat in their hazardous weather outlook.

    The Canadian has been pretty consistent with that storm signal the past few runs. I’ll be interested to see what the 12z Euro does with that energy today

    Shoot naw it hasn’t, just remembered seeing it on a GFS forecast for a system we tracked a few weeks back. Just thought it was odd we were seeing it multiple times on the GFS this year. And I hope so man, been a long 3 years without snow!!

    That loop to loop feature showing on the (GFS regular) has popped up multiple times this winter. I Wonder if there is an underlying issue within the model that’s causing that feature to show up so frequently this year.
