  1. Thank you! That’s pretty high values.
  2. It’s the significant tornado parameter value. Higher it is the higher chances of an EF2.
  3. Do you have the one for Nashville proper?
  4. Highwind warnings are now in effect for tomorrow
  5. My son is at UTC. They got no warning.
  6. I’m sure glad I bought extra propane tanks for our my buddy propane heater for soccer. Going to need them.
  7. Well mid state is now in enhanced. Damaging winds the main threat. Which looks likely. Sigh.
  8. Tomorrow the winds alone will be quite crazy. 55+ gusts with some 75+ gusts some data is showing. That will bring down some trees. Especially as soft as the ground has become. Glad the severe wx so far has not panned out. Seems TN has a cap on severe wx lately. Kinda like the snow cap especially for east TN. Weird wx these days.
  9. Sadly there goes many blooms & early vegetation. Heck the freeze in December did a number. A freeze now will finish them off.
  10. There is the disclaimer lol. Day 10. Let’s keep the cold rain at day 10 here on out. Spring has sprung in my opinion.
  11. Tomorrow afternoon & night are starting to scream pay attention especially for the mid south. Damaging winds very likely with embedded tornadoes are increasing.
  12. Looks like a boat will be needed. Thankful no severe though.
  13. I read where TN is not included in any big severe that it should stay south of TN. Flooding is another story. That’s what I’ve read.
  14. I prefer rain over severe wx. Seems first week of March always comes in like a Lion. This has the makings of one of those common nocturnal events we have in TN every few years. Sheesh. March & tornadoes in TN go hand in hand.
  15. I definitely do not won’t any of that type of heat this early. I will retract the wanted poster for the groundhog if he can prevent this type of heat.
  16. Two things looks pretty certain at this point. It’s going to be cooler which 55-60 I’m good with. Rain! Lots of rain! A footnote is severe wx looks like it’s not happening anytime soon. If I had to guess. Severe wx will be very scarce this year around here. Which is just fine with me.
  17. Going to need waders along with warm clothes to mow the yard this March. Time to put a wanted & bounty out on that groundhog.
  18. I will add this. My weather channel app for temps is not biting on what the models are showing. 60’s pretty much next 2 weeks.
  19. I’m looking for the groundhog that has cursed our TN springs!
  20. Honestly at this point I would rather the SER win out. Give me these 60s-70’s temp days. This past week wx has made me ready for spring. Though I just know cold March is incoming.
  21. Gotta love college bball. UT knocks my TIDE off which is fine. #1 is a curse. Then they turn around & lose to KY? Then Vandy 5 games in a row beating AU in a really good weird ending game. March Madness is going to be just that! Looks like BAMA/Kansas/Houston are solid #1 seeds. Hopefully that is not a curse.
  22. Flooding seems to be the severe part of this past storm. Going forward I believe flooding will be the headline instead of tornadoes. Wet cold springs seem to be the status quo here anymore.
  23. I grew up in Holston valley in the 70’s. Man what wonderful times playing in the snow. We had a Pasteur field the whole neighborhood would build a bonfire at night. We would sled down that field all night. It was long & steep. With 3 wheelers back then pulling everyone back up the hill. We would rotate the drivers. I miss those days & wish my kids could experience times like that & the growing up on the farm. Moved to Nashville mid 80’s. Good snows then also. I miss the mountains & the ridge wood barbecue. I’m 53 & it’s tough seeing how times are now. Wx & all. It’s complete opposite of what it used to be.
  24. The one near Dixon needs to be watched. There’s no warning on it, but it seems to be getting its act together moving towards Nashville.
  25. Seems the storms around TN River are starting to get that discreet look. Especially ones coming into SW TN out of Northern MS.
