  1. 33 and cloudy in Gainesville with just shy of an inch overnight. Of course, I didn't see one flake fall.
  2. Isn't 13.2 inches of snow very close to normal for the Capital City?
  3. Cold rain beginning to fall in Gainesville. Temps have dropped to 39!
  4. Brother, I know it's not on anyone's radar but I've watched that storm in the SE precipitation very slowly inch it’s way north to where it's reached se VA on 1/30. Cold air is close to the north.. All we need is for a miracle to happen and for somehow have that juicy storm to make a left and move up the coast. Doable?
  5. Speak for yourself Solution Man, I got on the board the other day with a mixed sleet/occasional half-melted snowflake or two. As I said the other day, the rest will be gravy! lol
  6. Looks like just a modest trend north would give us a warning level event.
  7. Well put. The naysayers need to remember the last three words of this thread.
  8. A mix of sleet and rain in Gainesville 40°
  9. This time period has been advertised for a while now so it doesn't appear to be going away. The devil though is in the details.
  10. Boundary line makes it to the Mid Atlantic by 2/3 and hangs around till a redevelopment occurs and moves out on 2/5. An interesting period for sure only 9 or 10 days away.
  11. Be happy that there has been multiple times over the years that we have woken up to find that the pattern that was considered to be locked in magically changed. Our time is coming. Besides February has been a good month for MA snowstorms.
  12. Reporting from Gainesville- precipitation has begun to fall lightly. I detected a few microscopic white things interspersed with light mist/rain. I am going to assume it was snow falling which puts my backyard on the board. Thus going forward from today, any snow that might fall is gravy.
  13. Future radar shows some semblance of snow very close to Gainesville today. Would be nice to see a few flakes flying around for 5-10 minutes.
  14. Will be interesting to see if the 18z GFS run verifies for the path of the Gulf lp in a few days. Just doesn’t seem right. A strange path for the lp when it reaches the east course.
  15. And all of them seem to be taking the same track. I would be surprised if that happens.
  16. Looks like things are a changing. Into what is anyone's guess
