  1. 33.8/32 here. I know what I'm in store for, but here's to hoping for some flurries on the backend.
  2. I'm not better, literally just standing out in my driveway. Now I have a 5 yr old as an excuse.
  3. Was able to capture my son's excitement after growing up in North Carolina. https://imgur.com/a/GOqgeuT
  4. Got flakes and a quick coating on the driveway. Pleasantly surprised here!
  5. Overnight low of 23.4, wife finally made me put the heat on.
  6. Friend in Rowley reporting light flakes as well.
  7. Looks like this is tracking towards landfall as the tide is coming in but luckily not at high tide which isn't until about 6am Thursday.
  8. Some nice thunder, wasn't expecting that.
  9. Can't find the post, but a few people were discussing this and quickly came to realization there were no remaining traces of Helene in that aspect. Water was plenty warm.
  10. Any thoughts on Waynesville/Hendersonville area with new trajectory? Have some friends out that way and was concerned for them going into this but unsure how things have changed overnight.
  11. Some decent wave action down on Long Beach in Plymouth. https://www.facebook.com/share/p/f3GjBdNrUx5EbXRq/?mibextid=xfxF2i
  12. Man that storm came right up to our doorstep and immediately shifted south, what a tease. The thunder and lightning has been awesome for past hour.
  13. About to get into it, been a nice light show for past half hour. Mother in law in Plympton reported about dime sized hail.
  14. Look outside my front windows and it looks like night, out the backyard the sun is shining in the distance. Looks like we're about to get rocked here in Middleboro.
  15. Man that was the definition of a wall of rain that just came in
  16. Light show and lots of rumbling. Back of the house faces west, makes for a good spot to watch these roll in.
  17. If this happens I throw in the towel. Feels like drying out the basement has become a weekly chore at this point. There's just nowhere for the water to go. Neighbors dealing with yards that are flooding in places they've never flooded. Our basement has ground water coming up in areas that it's never done before. Just exhausting, think I looked and we're somewhere around 44" of precipitation since New Year's.
  18. Another night of the sump pump cranking away. About to just convert the basement into a pool at this point.
  19. Must be pretty cold aloft, have sleet falling. Currently 43.
  20. My basement seems like it just dried out from last storm. This ground is absolutely saturated.
  21. Beech Mountain is an underrated winter spot down south. There or Boone is where we'd go for weekend trips often while we lived in NC.
  22. Fresh coating of snow overnight combined with wind giving it a nice Hoth feel this morning.
