Cloud cover seems to help slow down warm up, was up to about 46 around noon, back down slightly to 44.5 now.

Meh, this went from a nice little event to nothing down here. With me off of work and son home from school was hoping for a little snow day but I guess rain will have to do.

Would happily take a 2-4" event at this point, would at minimum double my season so far.

Moved up from NC with one plastic snow shovel and haven't needed to upgrade yet. I will believe it when I see snow on the ground.

My son woke up and immediately went outside with the dogs. First weekend morning in a while where I drank my coffee in peace.

Just took an awesome walk through downtown with the family. Rates have calmed down now.

Rates picking up a little bit, just nice to see snow falling at this point. We might even match our season with this.

Man what a shit season for the South Shore. Not like many in Eastern areas are crushing it but I don't think we have even had an inch total so far.

For whatever it's worth (nothing for us) it seems like the HRRR may have a better grip on the precipitation than the NAM or GFS. On another site for Southern states, seeing a lot of posts from the Atlanta metro showing pretty good rates this morning that seems to more closely align with the HRRR.

I haven't looked at snowfall maps but every time I am constantly seeing posts about snow in the Boone and Beech Mountain areas of NC. Seems like the hills down there are having a decent year so far.

Seeing as how one of the selling points my wife used to convince me to move back from Raleigh was the chance to see more snow, I have been fully prepared for them to have a better winter than me at some point.
