  1. This front end thump has definitely not been of lower ratio. Probably 10:1 ratio, if not a bit higher potentially, as it is blowing around fairly easily. .
  2. Stacking at ORD… KORD 121251Z 08018G26KT 1/2SM R10L/3500V5000FT SN FG VV004 00/M01 A2962 RMK AO2 PK WND 07028/1237 PRESFR SLP036 SNINCR 2/4 P0012 T00001006 .

  4. 0z Euro back SE once again. Turning into just an average piece of guidance these days
  5. This trough feature extending from the main SLP is an interesting development that we've seen gain traction over the past 12-24 hours. It can enhance precip/snowfall. Folks in the Northeast see significant versions, Norlun troughs, that sort of do the same.
  6. 18z Euro with the bump NW. Wisconsin gets the goods. up into N-L. Michigan.
  7. I can make this happen. Though, further inland may be more interesting. .
  8. Ya'll are slacking... No 18z GGEM mention?

  14. Overnight disturbance dusted the area… ORD - 0.4” MDW - 0.1” RFD - 0.5” .
  15. 6z guidance generally came in weaker/east for the most part, and slower developing. Weaker/drier/east is a trend you need not want to see in the Chicago metro/NE Illinois. Shall see if it was a one run blip, or if it actually turns into a trend. .
  16. That compact-potent disturbance moving through tonight is doing work out in Iowa. 1-3" reports in E Iowa, snow squall warning near DSM, and probably should have another in E Iowa. There was also a bit of TSSN earlier.
  17. Chicago/O'Hare received 0.93" of precipitation on January 9th, which broke the record precipitation total for the date of 0.76", which was set in 1946.
