    Given the NW shift, ORD is now much more in the game for significant lake effect/enhancement. If ORD were to miss out on the LE, it means noting to the official Chicago snowfall total then.

    To say that’s a long shot is an understatement. 11.3” on the month so far, and say this storm/lake event put down another 12”. That would make only ~23.2” on the month, which is still ~20” away from that record. .

    And the three runs prior to that moved NW, and the one before that was SE. There is no trend. It’s bouncing around. Just as the Euro has been bouncing around as well.
