  1. Got me beat today. stronger southerly flow keeping me cooler at 91. FRG at 87/76/98. Nasty stuff
  2. Newark 96/74/107, that is high end stuff.
  3. 90/79. High was 91. Could use some rain
  4. 91/80/109 here isp is 86/77/97…
  5. Im not even sure we hit 90 today. Better chance Fri/Sat
  6. Dewponits of 76 at ISP, FRG. So the 82/76 at ISP yields HI of 89
  7. 85/78/96 right now. Stiff breeze
  8. Low of 75 today. So much for the big heat wave. High of 93 now. Already hit 94 this year, weak.
  9. 2 of mine were 89.5 to 90. My area of commack is in a relative valley on all sides, its a sort of depression and the surrounding hills are 200 feet or so higher. It is also pretty built up compared to other areas around, so I believe that's why i run warm in summer. The neighboring PWS support this microclimate. A few miles to my west is a large hill around 300 feet which then gradually slopes down into my more developed area. To my south is Dix Hills, which also has hills in the 250-350 foot range. So there is some downsloping on W/SW winds here
  10. Nothing worse than a W/NW wind at the beach. Roasting like on a desert. Absolutely brutal. It's why i hate north shore beaches, usually you get the offshore (southerly) flow and just roast.
  11. Upton has me at 96 tomorrow and Friday. North shore will roast with the SW flow.
  12. Today is number 9 for the year. This July so far has an average temp of 77.2, slightly behind 2019, 2020, 2022. However, by Saturday I expect this July to be the warmest since i started keeping records at my location in 2015.
  13. 91 today briefly, now 88. 4 day heatwave coming
  14. As expected, non event for the island. Thunder showers. Maybe 0.30 here. But enough to make camp muddy and wet
  15. Line weakened significantly now. Headed to my kids camp for family night so I’m ok with it
  16. Northern part of the line weakened. Southern part bowed out a bit. I can hear thunder from the storms in Brooklyn…40 miles away
  17. Line weakening as it heads towards the city. Expect the line to weaken as it moves into the boros and the island.
  18. Wow NE NJ getting crushed. As usual
  19. 87/72 and steamy out here. Definitely no shortage of SB Cape
  20. Looks like city east will get nothing. Sea breeze shield up today
  21. What is squawked
  22. 86/73/94. Nasty outside.
  23. Heard the thunder from the sea breeze storms. They’ve been popping a bit further north than usual this summer. We often get them mid island, but this year most have been on extreme north shore
