It’s 36 and sunny in the park. 39 at JFK and 38 at Newark. my guess is that there will be less than 1/2” on the ground by tomorrow at 7 am. but to me it’s a white Christmas anyway. Many people celebrate today and the snow has been around all week. -
Can’t imagine an inch of snow lasts until tomorrow with temps in upper 30s.

We have about exactly an inch of snow left on the ground here. So we really need a refresher to have a white Christmas. If tomorrow morning doesn’t pan out I don’t think we make it

3” for the season now is probably about average for December around here. Bodes well for the rest of the winter. 28 and steady light snow continues

We will see how much of this melts today. Suppose to get to 33/34 so we everything on pavement will melt. Probably will only have patches left in the shade by evening

Eh. Forecast was 1/2” and we got 2”+. That’s not really “noise” when it comes to snowfall forecast for a light event. 1/2” v 2” matters much more from a travel perspective. 2” is much more disruptive than 1/2”

Yes a nice surprise for the island. The HRRR showed this in its later runs, but didn’t show 2-3” for Nassau/Suffolk.

Snow plow keeps going by but it’s seems unnecessary…maybe worried about ice later? Road sounds like it’s taking a beating

2 inches in Suffolk. Not a single model showed that. Pleasantly surprised! Snow continues and it’s 28. feels like years since it’s snowed when it’s been below 30 degrees

Nice snow out here in Suffolk. Maybe an inch down already with more to come. Roads etc all snow covered
