Yes par for the course

This week probably coldest of the winter. Next few weeks don’t look great for snow and then we warm up. Absent a large storm in February I’m not seeing the area getting to average snowfall for the season. Probably crap out around 15” or so.

25 with light snow. Maybe other 1/4” -
Ended with 3.5” here. Not sure this light snow will amount to much. A bit less than expected but a nice event. 8” on the season.

I think eastern Suffolk ends up ok. Alot of snow moving off the ocean for them. Glad you got some as well. fuck the RGEM

Yea longitude was not your friend this time. Models showed the central Suffolk cutoff well

It’s not even that close to the ocean…maybe more elevation related, it’s 200 feet lower than the Northern

Heavy snow under this band. Closing in on 2 inches. Temp down to 30

LIE and northern state completely snow covered out to central Suffolk. Dangerous night to be on the roads. somehow the southern state is mainly wet though

Radar looks excellent for city and coast. Would like temps to drop another 5 so we can get ratios, but for now it’s heavy man snow

31 and moderate snow in Suffolk. Closing in on an inch.

Still pouring graupel and 33. Laying down a nice layer which will freeze up. A few flakes mangled in but a change to bigger flakes would be nice

Why are you panicking? It was never supposed to snow hard until the evening. Relax. the coast was supposed to see rain and that never happened.

Mainly snow and no graupel now. Unfortunately the precip is about to shut off for hours. Shame

Nice thing about graupel is that it sticks immediately. Nice wintry scene out there

Heavy graupel and snow, 34. Everything coated in white. Laying down a nice base for the snow.

HRRR not great for Long Island. Looks like 2-4”. Same for the city.
