  1. Both FRG and ISP over 90, all stations hit 90 today.
  2. 17 90 degree days this summer here. About average
  3. 88/74 now. One last brutal day until next July.
  4. Estimates now that the Suffolk floods caused more than $100 million in damage. Glad to see a federal disaster declared so the area can be repaired and renewed.
  5. Quick 1/2” of rain. Typical summertime thunderstorm
  6. Pouring with some wind and thunder, no hail yet
  7. Spoke too soon. About to get whacked here. Storms exploding overhead
  8. Can hear the thunder from the storms to my east. Looks like I’ll get hit as the line expands west, but nothing too bad
  9. 86 today. Another perfect day on the water. A bit more of a breeze than Friday and Saturday but still top 10
  10. Gotta say, overall this has been an incredible summer weather wise. Not many washout weekends and plenty of days in the 80s with sun. Brutal stretch in July, but August has been a delight
  11. 84 today from 59 in the morning. Just perfect. Fishing wasn’t great today, only a few shorts. Otherwise top 5 day.
  12. 83 today. Beautiful evening on the water. It’s been an incredible boating season
  13. Lots of thunder with those storms riding the north shore again. Non stop up there.
  14. Flash flood warning for northern Suffolk. Wild
  15. Loud thunder here with the approaching storm. Here we go again
  16. Agreed lots of flooded basements. Don’t get me wrong, the road flooding was severe around here. We were pretty much cutoff in all directions from my neighborhood. Every main road closed down. But houses weren’t washed away, entire neighborhoods for the most part weren’t under water like you see in PA, VT.
  17. One good thing about Long Island is the lack of any major rivers and fresh water flood zones. All things considered Suffolk handled 8-10” of rain without any major issues. Yes, some washed out roads but not crazy issues like when CT or Vt get 10” of rain.
