I don’t follow this logic. Wouldn’t lower pwats make it more difficult to get alot of snow? There have been many examples of cold and dry patterns. Sure, you may get a snow event when the pattern warms, but that’s when pwats are rising.

My yard is snow covered. Parts of LI are horrible for snow. Others like northern Nassau and northwest Suffolk average more than the city and central NJ

Nah. I’m 20 miles west of him with a snow covered yard. He lives in the warmest part of Suffolk

27 here. Looks like it’s only the metro above freezing. Even outer boros are 32 or below

Reasons for optimism for sure. Still not a classic pattern for a KU. Maybe some smaller to moderate events which we take. But I’m not seeing anything which is favorable for a MECS. Hopefully we can get a few weeks of real winter in January. I am not expecting any big storms for the metro/coast, but I think some smaller events are on the table.

It’s 36 and sunny in the park. 39 at JFK and 38 at Newark. my guess is that there will be less than 1/2” on the ground by tomorrow at 7 am. but to me it’s a white Christmas anyway. Many people celebrate today and the snow has been around all week.

Can’t imagine an inch of snow lasts until tomorrow with temps in upper 30s.
