Well we are not celebrating Gettysburg today, so I’m not sure why most Americans should be remembering that today. Also pretty sure every American knows why they are bbqing today as well. Silly post.
What Americans need to remember today is that what defines us and makes our country unique is freedom of expression and thought. We all seem to hate one another based on what the other thinks. This hate at times causes some to try to silence the voices of others, which is Unamerican and what we fought against in 1776.
this is what Americans should remember. Freedom of expression is quintessential to who we are. Not Gettysburg, one of the ugliest days of American history.
Yea i mean you have a small 25 square mile area that was hit, at best, probably closer to 20 sq miles, the worst areas probably in a 15 sq mile radius, in the largest metro area in the country, and it takes this long? Something isnt right.
New grass grows slowly in the spring because the ground is still cool. You’ll see some grass in a week, but seeding in spring is often a waste because the summer heat will kill the new grass. You are better off planting in the late summer or early fall.
I find that raking the seeds in and covering with a 1/4” of Peat moss does the trick. Keeps it moist and grass explodes, but again, better in late summer when it starts to cool. Need about a month or so before first frost for grass to get thick.
And 4 in the past 3 years...since i moved to my house in Suffolk in April 2015 we have had 4 blizzards, at least one every year, and 2 in 2018...just ridiculous out here.
Lithium gets old, repeats same songs. 94.3 the SHARK is pretty good out here, and 90.7 WFUV is a city station which is good for alternative music. I only like the Adam Sandler Hannukah song.
Seeing Dark Star Orchestra at the Paramount in Huntington Sat night, love that venue.
People freaking out over models showing blocking in mid-November is insane. New England may even see rain from these threats. We have had great patterns in June, but it doesnt mean it will snow.
I dont take any threat seriously until after December 1. Yes, i know we have gotten snow in October and November a few times in the past thirty years, but those are the exception and not the rule. If the models look the same in 2 weeks i will get more intrigued, as of now its fantasy.
If it gets below 25 like some models are showing I get nervous. Luckily its been warm lately so the ground will keep things above freezing, other than any exposed pipes and maybe the heads themselves
