  1. Nah it's the same thing. Ens is just short for ensemble. EPS is ensemble prediction system.
  2. CMC takes the lead wave over PHL and it still doesn't matter. Can't win either way because this airmass absolutely blows. We be F'd.
  3. 34.2° and overcast with fog/mist here currently. The overnight paste made for nice scenery this AM but that will be short-lived of course.
  4. BGM surged ahead in gutterball race with that 2.0" whopper last night. BGM - 14.1 ROC - 13.9 SYR - 13.4 BUF - 10.6 ALY - 5.4
  5. CMC and UK both throw a bone to the Lake Plain zones. Not the best of models to have on your side but better than nothing. Maybe the Euro shifts a bit SE like the UK.
  6. Here are the frames off the 12z Euro and 0z GFS where the warm air makes the greatest inroads. Saturday night would actually be the peak highs for most sites.
  7. Models def seem to be starting to lock in on an eastern GL cutter followed by an OTS trailing wave. Hopefully we at least dry slot so can possibly enjoy the warmer temps outside for a time on Saturday. Might be able to make a run at 60° near and south of the thruway if the Euro and GFS are correct.
  8. Luzerne had a WWA at the time he posted that but it was canceled just before you posted.
  9. Pretty much done here. Just went outside and it looked better out the window than it actually is. Maybe a slushy half inch on paved surfaces and an inch of slushy snow on the grass. Not even enough to get the Deere out to plow. Yawn.
  10. Will be curious to see if BGM overtakes SYR and ROC after tonight in the race to the gutter this winter.
  11. Light to mod snow and 32.2°. Might eek out another half inch maybe. The untreated street has about an inch of greasy glop on it. Seen a few cars slip and slide trying to make the turn at the intersection.
  12. All snow now and mdt to heavy rate. Temp dropped to 33.3°.
  13. Rain/snow mix and 35.6° here. Probably only getting a slushy coating at best.
  14. If you're looking for snow that will never arrive during these most desperate of times, I have the 12z Canadian Ensemble to offer you.
  15. Euro is a rainer... maybe some thunderstorms south of the thruway? On the bright side, we dry slot quite nicely.
  16. The main piece of energy that the models kick out as the lead wave this weekend is this elongated thing coming thru Alaska and along the western Canadian shore right now. It continues to dive down along the Pacific coast and then rounds the base and comes ashore in the Baja CA area on early Friday AM and then ejects northeast from there.
