    Looks like the week between x-mas and new years is trending warmer. Been watching it for the last week. Since Last Tuesday the average temp in the forecast for the week of 12/26 has gone up 7 degrees for the high and 8 degrees for the low. Now looking like all highs in the 40's all of next week through new years. Still early but looking on the warmer side. If it's going to be in the 40's I'll take it along with the sunshine.

    We are toast for a while through at least next week. High temps In the 40s and lows above freezing. An outside shot maybe Sunday But I’m not holding my breath lol. hopefully the outlook changes but soon it’s gonna be January without much to speak of.

    24.4 In Evans city this morning.

    Latest in the year we have gone without a temp lower than 40 degrees in the last 66 years. Looks like it's going to be another week before we got a shot at it. Interesting that 4 of the last 5 years were the longest we have gone without hitting 40 or lower with the exception of 1955.

    Is there any historical Diurnal air temperature variation for Pittsburgh anywhere out there? I'd love to go check that out over the past 10-20 years.

    Is it mostly because the high temps were higher or the lows were higher? just curious because it just felt like the days weren’t too too hot but the nights were a over average for the most part. No facts to back that up just how it felt to me. just wondering what is driving most of the records, the highs or the lows?

    Looks like we have a decent shot at some snow from 5-8am. Probably won’t stick around but will be nice to see some flakes again.
