    2019 we had 90’s till the first weekend in October. Also in October that year, Knoxville only recorded 3 days of low temps in the 30’s and the lowest was 37°. .

    Pretty good sig for a hurricane spun tornado just north of Mobile Ala .

    The way this storm is going to be running from SW to NE through middle Tennessee, I believe will put ETn in a greater threat for tornadoes. Seems like a storm tracking S to N would cause a lot of downsloping off the mountains and would limit low level flow. .

    Wondering if next week will bring in a tornado threat to the valley? I’d say the plateau and southern valley will like usually have a better opportunity .

    Some serious flooding just west of Nashville this morning. They issued a FF emergency, something I’ve never seen before .

    Some pretty big isolated totals around the region. Most areas seen between 1-3” but a few areas outside the higher elevations did well. One in particular was 5 miles north of Jefferson City in Granger Co picked up 5” and no one close to that area seen more than 3”. Cherokee Co in SWNC picked up almost 8”. .

    Cell in NE Georgia has a confirmed tornado. Don’t think it would make it but it’s track would take it into SE Tennessee .

    Rain seems heavier on the ground than what the radar is showing. I’m under moderate feedback on RadarScope but it’s absolutely a monsoon on the ground. .

    Noticed that also. I didn’t look but I’m assuming the GFS has a more favorable Floyd track for us. .

    Picked up an inch yesterday and just now. The lightning has been really wild. .

    I got around an inch and that storm was only on me for 30 min or so. East and south Knoxville had those storms for well over an hour. Reports of several roads under water in downtown Knoxville .
