    Not that it will have anything to do with this coming weekend but our little clipper two weeks ago tracked further south than modeled. .

    If my memory is correct, this year seems to be similar to 2015 if we get the cold February. Seems like 2015 was really cold to start January, caught a 2-3 week break and then had a rough February. I sometimes get 2015 and 2011 confused though. .

    3 weeks before our last cold snap, we had no idea what was coming. Winter is never over until it is. I picked up 8” in March after weeks of AN temps. .

    Fog/low clouds lifted in the valley and I was surprised to see what looks like Cumulonimbus clouds .

    Some interesting talk in this mornings SPC convection outlook. Maybe I just don’t remember them ever doing this but they said mods have a cold bias in the winter and therefore they believe the surface cape will be higher for tomorrow than what the mods are saying. Don’t believe I’ve ever seen them build a forecast in a potentially life threatening situation around a mod biases. .

    Played golf at Avalon yesterday and the ponds we’re almost still frozen over. Balls were sitting on top of the ice. .

    Some roads in Knoxville are still covered. This is a road going to Ft City Elem. It’s not exactly off the beaten path. .
