  1. Storms entering the Plateau seem like they are weakening some. .
  2. It’s interesting that the cold core has developed another line in SW Kentucky has has tor warnings all over it. .
  3. Those cells might end up close to Knoxville if they continue to work NW .
  4. One thing to watch is where the line pivot is. The further north up the line you go, the more the storms are moving NE vs more ENE on the lower end. At some point those cell will start to separate and become more cellular. On the lower end of the pivot, you sometimes can develop a cell with it’s own meso feature. That’s what happened on Wednesday night with the tornado In Chattanooga. Only this time the shear is more favorable. .
  5. The low level jet has caught up with the line, especially SE of Nashville. Need to watch and see if those storms become more discrete from the line. .
  6. IT’s pushing 70 and WAA hasn’t really kicked in yet .
  7. In the last 10 minutes we have full sunshine in N Knox .
  8. The wind in Knoxville is absolutely dead. No movement at all so I’m going to the driving range. Lol .
  9. HRRR STP, simulation radar and 10m wind gusts for tomorrow afternoon. .
  10. Once we started realizing a month back that this winter wasn’t going to go as planned, I was thinking we would probably cap this winter off with a dreadful start to spring. For it to snow, we need about 20+ degrees BN and at night between 9pm and 6am. It’s easy to get through a TSA checkpoint at the airport with a grenade launcher strapped on than it is to get snow past February. .
  11. Agree… MRX is now expecting a period of clearing tomorrow. Warm front is north of I-40 now… .
  12. I work for Knox Co schools and I was shocked when I got the call we are out. .
  13. It just shows the potential for tornadoes. Doesn’t mean there will be tornadoes but the potential is there. There’s some 11 of 12’s showing up there and I thought the “meter” only went up to 10. I believe a 3 or 4 is considered a heightened risk level. .
  14. Confirmed tornado this morning around 2am near Chattanooga. That’s the 6th tornado that we know of for the first 60 days of the year in Tennessee. .
  15. When was the last High Wind Warning issued for the valley? .
