    We could use your prayers… my wife was diagnosed with breast cancer this week. Do not have all the info just yet but as of now the outlook is positive. Feel terrible for her. She just completely recovered from the brain tumor she had removed 2 years ago. God has been there and he’s not leaving us. Keep us in your prayers. Thanks guys!!!! .

    They only about 48 hours to get ahold of these fires. Wednesday into Thursday, wind gusts up to 25 mph start in the valley. I’m assuming it would be at least that in the fire areas. Even 10-15mph would keep the fires moving than the forestry service can handle. .

    I started drying out in the middle of August and I’ve only had about 1.5” since then. Half of that came on a renegade storm that lasted 30min. So probably none of that got into the ground. I can tell with the cooler temps the ground moisture is starting to seep back up to the surface. My lawn in areas that I haven’t watered has turned back green in the shade. .

    My lawn was completely gone at one point. I’m talking burnt toast. Even Bermuda started going dormant from the lack of rain back in August. Mt Leconte has over 3” since yesterday afternoon. .

    Had off and on showers all day, a couple of solid downpours. Lawn is trying to come back to life. .

    Hearing some rumors from the Twitter Mets that severe weather might make a return in a couple of weeks. .

    Looks like next week we get a shot at some rain and early fall like temps. Mother Nature has given me the finger on some rain. Haven’t had any in over two weeks. I’ve consistently been gapped by everything that’s came through. My poor lawn is fried. [emoji53] .

    Only thing that bothers me, mostly because I have battered snow syndrome but we have been in a good, extended pattern for winter during the middle of summer and the odds of it being the opposite come winter is realistic IMO. Nothing scientific about my thoughts, just based on our luck around here. .

    Still worried about the heat getting pushed back a day at a time in the LR. Mid 90’s for Saturday now, around 90 on Sunday. But this is encouraging…. .
