  1. Friday… that’s my fault. I’ve got my days messed up where I’ve been off with my wife. My bad. .
  2. Guys in the southern valley might want to keep an eye on the Saturday severe across the south. MRX even mentioned that if the central valley had a little more CAPE it would be interesting .
  3. Last time Nick was in Knoxville he went home with an L. I love it. .
  4. Good thread here… https://x.com/mikemasco/status/1745198754653688296?s=46&t=LVg8BRWCh1zZb6F_t95EVg .
  5. The good news is it feels like there’s multiple ways for us to get some snow out of this when typically there’s multiple ways for this to fail. .
  6. I feel like the depth of the cold could hold its ground either way. .
  7. I know it’s still early but MRX has taken rain out of my forecast for Sunday/Monday and lowered temps. Waiting on AFD .
  8. I’m terrible with years but I remember (maybe 2015) we had two weeks of brutal cold and a couple of overrunning events right after a polar front? Like I said I’m terrible with dates, even years for that matter. .
  9. Our last two decent valley systems, Christmas 2020 and March 2022(?) over performed in a 50 mile radius over Knoxville and both of them had some trailing moisture up the valley that just enhanced over Knox Co but didn’t really funnel north of there. Just sorta dead headed. .
  10. That weird lollipop keeps popping up over Knox, Blount and Sevier Co. Kinda weird… it’s not every run but it’s been there about 50% of the time. Could this be some kind of backing or damming with the anafrontal moisture up against the GSM? .
  11. How much If any does the tilt matter for a winter storm? I know what it means for severe weather. .
  12. I ended up with about as much as I started with. [emoji30] .
  13. That’s weird…. When I go below freezing on Sunday afternoon, I don’t go back above freezing for a week and I’m in the valley. .
  14. When I got married 23 years ago, we lived in the condos between Weigles and Murphy Hills. I noticed the same thing as you with the wind. In the upper end of Halls where I’m at now, there’s not much towards the W/SW to block the wind. Some friends of mine on down Emory towards Gibbs lost some small apple trees today. FYI… Kenny Chesney’s step dad built those condos. .
  15. No it’s not but it did not look like there’s any accumulation worth noting before the Monday system, especially in the lower elevations. .
