  1. Looks like the rain is already north of 40 in ETn unless it redevelops south. .
  2. Just mostly drizzle to light rain in Knoxville for the most part. Knock on wood but we have escaped the major flooding to this point. .
  3. Honestly I cannot remember ever reading a forecast or graphic that included “potentially life threatening” for heavy rain including landslides in ETn CWA and I’m 44. .
  4. I’m right here at Maynardville Hwy and Emory Rd. Beaver creek is way out of its banks but luckily there’s a large spill over area that holds a lot of water. I may go take some pics if I can get to it. .
  5. Knoxville has been fine to this point. The flooded areas around my house are just a little higher than before this started. .
  6. Is there a weather station the public can access in that area? .
  7. MRX has really backed off the heavy rains for this week. Going for .5-1.5, up to 2” is SETn. .
  8. I hate to see this cause people could be dying right now but I’ve never seen a sig like this. .
  9. This is pretty stable air correct? .
  10. The 18z NAM 3km looks ominous for E Tennessee .
  11. Gonna be a wild day south and west of 40/75. .
  12. MRX disco this morning is interesting.... “Model soundings show the potential of large hail and damaging winds. MLCAPES of 1000-1500 J/kg, Hail CAPES of 300-600 J/Kg, lapse rates near 7 C/km, and WBZ Heights near 7kft support large hail. The 0-6km shear of 60kts also support rotating storms with more sustain updrafts. SHIP values between 1 and 1.5. As for the convective damaging winds, melting hail, plenty of dry mid-level entrainment and mid-level winds of 30-40kts supports potential of damaging winds. The potential strong convection will emain during the evening hours with showers diminishing after midnight” .
