    It’s funny reading about all these anomalies and teleconnectors needed for us to get in position for a good snow but growing up, (I’m 45) all we looked for was a L pressure tracking across the GOM coast and we knew we were in business. [emoji2369] .

    I 100% believe there’s something that helps low level winds in Monroe and Blount Co with tornadoes. The numbers speak for themselves vs the other mountain counties. .

    I was very hopeful at the start of the season when mods handled CF’s and cold shots very well, they even under bid the cold air with the light snow we got in December. I think we’ve all figured out that when mods show a flip but never make inside d10 and this goes on for a while it ain’t happening. We tracked this a few years ago starting in January looking at 15-20 degrees BN. When it finally happened in March, 15-20 degrees BN wasn’t even cold enough for snow. .

    On a positive note.... looks like the rain this weekend will not be the monsoon it looked like a few days ago. Saturday morning golf looks like a go. .

    SPC talked about a secondary WF in the vicinity of MAla, MMiss creating a cap north of that boundary. ICON is trying to show that now. .

    I believe it was Feb 14/15’ when we had a predicted front end thump to rain in the valley and it never changed to rain north of 40. Had some sleet mixed in but ended up with 8” at my house. I remember it was low 40’s and rain at Ober Gatlinburg, upper 20’s and heavy snow at my house. I seem to remember the theory was the SE winds created a CAD up against the plateau that was strong enough to hold back WAA. .

    It’s funny reading that we are possibly/probably going into a warm period around d10 when we just broke record high temps a couple of days ago. .

    Just mowed to clean everything up off the lawn. Looks good for this time of year. .

    Looks like a little dry weather for the next week or so and by the first of next week a little AN temps. I mean... if there’s no chance at snow I’m ok with dry and almost seasonal temps. Play a little golf. .

    Yeah our lift has moved out now. I’m a little over 2” so I’m already pushing 5” for the season before Christmas. .

    Its really interesting how the back side keeps regenerating precip. BNA radar. My line was at 730pm .
