  1. So checking some temps New Found Gap is 30, Ober Gatlinburg had a high of 41 but they have fallen to 33, I’m at 38. So it doesn’t look like we are getting a ton of WAA in the higher elevations. .
  2. Wouldn’t be surprised to have flurries above 3k feet in that band. .
  3. Thinking out loud here.... didn’t we have a similar setup several years ago with a rain/snow/rain ULL predictions but north of 40, downsloping and a NE surface wind caused a CAD in the valley up against the Cumberland Plateau that kept most of it snow? Seems like I ended up with 8” in N Knox Co. .
  4. Are you kidding me MRX? What in the world..... “For this forecast, have continued to stick closer to the GEFs and SREF plumes mean numbers. I mean... has anyone ever took the SREF serious? .
  5. Wondering with NNE surface winds and SE upper level winds wouldn’t create a little more lift in the valley. Almost like a inverted boundary look. .
  6. It has high bust both ways in the valley. If low elevation doesn’t get the rates, it could be all rain. It ain’t warming up outside like I expected it to though. .
  7. Mods are loving most of ETn now including the valley .
  8. Doesn’t the Euro have issues with cutting off the precip shield to quick on the NW side at times? .
  9. I’ve always felt like ULL usually over perform because the mods don’t handle dynamic cooling well. Then again sometimes they can wrap up dry air and destroy itself. .
  10. They were never impressed with Dec 24th until Knoxville had 4-6” on the ground .
  11. With the temps so close wouldn’t a little dry air help us wet bulb? .
  12. As long as we are tracking something south of us at this point that’s all we can ask for. .
  13. And it was brutal cold. Knox Co school was out for 2 weeks. .
  14. Is this in NE Tennessee or Sevier Co? One of my good friends lives on top of Bays Mt in Sevier Co. .
