This is why they advise people to avoid going to large gatherings, practice social distancing and wear a mask. Herman decided to do neither of those things.

Week before the 4th was so stupid.. easterly winds on end and we still baked. Westerly wind is the best for fishing this side off the pond. Always nice to get a string of westerly winds to mix it up and flush the warm surface temps out. Won't be long and winter weenie thoughts will soon turn to getting some crisp early fall air in to start the cool down process of the lake. Let's freeze that pond over this winter - after we score 60" of snow before, Jan 10th 2021.

Its been nice to have a good ole fashion summer again.. Pretty meh heat but consistent of late.. sad thought. 3 months from now we'll be starting to lose leaves off a few tree's, and Snow chances will be increasing to the north. 87/77 at KMKE. Gonna be tough to deny a high of 90.

Cool and unexpected little event. Gust were dam close to 50 it seemed. She got a little hairy when it moved through. Power outages were dancing through my head. KMWC @ 54mph gust KMKE @ 47mph

Nice, thanks.. The way the wind was howling I bet they even did a little better than that with qpf. I don't trust in windy events the accuracy of their QPF numbers. I didn't want to go too weenie on my 0.25" estimate but I'd bet my last brisket in the freezer that it rained all of a 0.25" the first 3 hrs IMBY.. Good luck estimating what QPF has fallen as snow now for 3 hrs. I haven't looked at the radar at all so who knows maybe my back yard was in a better spot or vice versa than MKE. Shrugs Another hr straight of mood snow. Its been feeling like it wants to shut off but its still putting out.

Nope not even close to any sticking. The snow intensity has been mostly plenty worthy of accumulation though if it wasn't noon on May, 10th. Have to think this could have been a WWA type event with some good blowing snow. QPF hasn't been lacking. Thinking if I had a rain gauge we'd be over 0.25" Going on 6 hrs now of precip. It was gorgeous out before the rain hit this AM.

Canada really stepped up to the plate for their citizens. all levels of govt are listening to their public health officials and their recommendations - along with strong collaboration between the federal govt and the provinces as well as between the provinces themselves. govt implemented fiscal measures to help canadian citizens and businesses who've been impacted by Covid19 get by for at least 4 months. there is a strong sense of community and feeling that they are all in this together. Then there is US. incompetent leadership, anti-science and this horrific prioritization of the economic well-being of the .01% over the the health and lives of the 99% one time payment of $1200?? We spent trillions on useless wars.. spent trillions in 2008 bailing out banks and other industries for the 2008 crisis.. spent billions bailing out airlines a few years back that took the funds to buy back stocks instead of investing in their workforce, ect. and the list of corporate bailouts go's a mile long. yet when it comes down to it, is unwilling to spend barely anything helping out its own citizens who lost their jobs due to a pandemic?
