@ers-wxman1 Your earlier comments about the relative strength of the cold airmass make sense to me. This just doesn't seem to have the strength of arctic cold that we need for this close a track to hold for any length of time.

Here I expect some front end followed by a lot of mix and sleet and then finishing up with additional. Namely because that's usually the m.o. here. Hard to buck climo.
In the "positive signs" department, it's now spitting nice fat flakes in between the torrential raindrops here, so that's good. I'm at 800 feet, so maybe some hope.
Going strictly by personal experience I'd say it is likely that the storm is another > < this close miss. That's just living in the area for 25 years and knowing how these tend to go especially this early in the season.
I won't even get that. 1/4" accumulation at best. Pingers and a few mangled flakes right now. Throwing in the towel on this one - progged for 4-6, actual is gonna be a Trace.
