  1. Intensity has picked up here just Southwest of Richmond. I think the real snow is about to begin.
  2. First deck pic! Nice base to start with before the heavy stuff gets here. Edit: just realized I forgot to cover the old grill...
  3. Thanks! Things already starting to turn white over here. Hope we get a bunch!!
  4. I'm new to Chesterfield County. Seems like it's a decent bit colder over here South of Midlothian. Where are you in relation to me (I'm near 288 and Lucks Lane). We're at 30/26.
  5. The snow went pretty quickly from flurries to light snow. Down to 30/24 imby.
  6. Snow is arriving earlier than forecasted. Maybe a good sign for you all up north that the dry air can be overrun faster. flurries here right now at 32/23. Expecting a nice wetbulb once the good stuff gets here.
  7. Nothing yet in Midlothian, but the radar has filled in much sooner than I expected. I’m expecting to see some light snow at any minute.
  8. Fv3 is much colder than the others for RIC. A lot of other models have us flip to rain/sleet right as the good stuff shows up. If we can keep the mixing to a minimum, we might get a lot. I'm glad I live Southwest of RIC proper. Still preparing myself to be disappointed.
  9. Not to get too IMBY, but I'm very schocked that we don't at least have an advisory up for Chesterfield County down this way near RIC with the latest trends on the weather models. They just put up warnings for counties just to the South and West. I guess they aren't buying the North trend?
  10. One last tug would definitely be a happy ending.
  11. What do the temps on the euro look like? Mixing in RIC?
  12. I’m going to PM you deck pics all day long tomorrow.
  13. 12k NAM keeps Richmond and West all snow. It also gives my backyard about 16”, so I’m going to hug the crap out of it.
  14. If the NAMs are to be believed, DT will be tweeting out “Alert, Alert, Alert” at any moment now.
  15. 6z nams and fv3 look real good for Richmond and Southwest, even a few double digit projections. Maybe some mixing issues towards the end of the storm, though.
  16. I'd bet good money that at the end of the day the jackpot is Boone to Roanoke to Richmond (maybe mixing in Richmond though). I just can't get on board with a NC jackpot. Edit (definitely some wishcasting involved as well)
  17. Idk man, the latest models have me about to pout over here in Midlothian.
  18. I mean, when all the Richmond and Southern/Central VA peeps see a bunch of "booms" and faces in every other thread, they don't complain about you guys enjoying your computer generated snow.
  19. I know using a clown map isn't a good indicator of trends, but to me it looks like it keeps inching North with each run.
  20. Two feet of snow in Charlotte. In December? I’m from that area. This has never happened that I can recall. I’ll believe it when I see it. I’m gonna bet on a Central VA to DC jackpot. My cousin Tammy in Hickory gonna get real fat and sassy off some bread and milk if she gets 2’ of snow.
  21. Nah man, there's gonna be at least a dozen storms this year where they are complaining about "only" getting 6" of snow while we are looking at a nice cold rain. Let them suffer!
  22. Mulch turning white in Midlothian. Been coming down steady for about 30 minutes.
  23. Some snow showers moving through. Might be able to see a few flakes in the Richmond area
