  1. We’d take this in a heartbeat but I think it’s overdone but it’s going to snow in mid December!! What’s not to like !
  2. Last year I moved back to RI from SC after living there for 10 years. I moved there because I thought I was sick of the snow here but after putting up with bugs the size of birds, hurricanes and humidity to melt your brain I realized snow ain’t so bad so I came back last year and couldn’t wait for our first snowstorm last year. Sadly disappointed because here in RI it was a snow drought last year. So I’m pumped for my first official nor’easter that hopefully won’t disappoint. Bring it on!
  3. Aren’t the Kuchera maps always on the extreme side of things?
  4. Us SNE’s might finally get the big one we’ve been waiting for!
  5. One thing I’ve learned over the years is that the NHC is very good at what they do and I trust that what they’re seeing in the guidance is accurate.
  6. NHC seems pretty certain on the recurve scenario. Well it was exciting for a short time. Next!
  7. That would be a very weird angle of trajectory to go from the Outer Banks to the Great Lakes. Is this even possible? The Cat 4 strength I’m sure is way overdone.
  8. With that ridge looks like New England hit, however it is in the GFS fantasy land timeline.
  9. Isaias looks to be on life support right now. I know these storm can rise from the dead but there are so many factors against that happening. Dry air and wind shear is just knocking the hell out of his core.
  10. I am still amazed every time I see the destruction of that tornado. Joplin has made an amazing recovery. Great video footage of before and after. Prayers continuing for you all..
  11. Thanks for the update JoMo. Still amazing to me how much rebuilding has been done there. A true testament to the spirit of people living there and the thousands of volunteers.
  12. Thanks for the update JoMo! The amazing stories continue in Joplin. These stories brought tears to my eyes. I guess miracles do happen. Keep the stories coming.
  13. Ditto what Josh said. I've been following this whole story since we all were worried if JoMo was okay during the storm that day. I've continue to follow Jomo's thread here and it's truly amazing the progress Joplin has had since the tornado took part of that city off the map. Such a testament to that city and it's people for getting done what needed to be done even though it was so much easier to give in to despair with the overwhelming task they had at hand. I would love to visit someday because there are some truly remarkable people there. They should all be so very proud of the fine example they have established for how disaster recovery should be handled. Bravo Joplin!
  14. JoMo, Thanks again for all your hard work with follow ups keeping us all informed of all the progress that is going on in Joplin. I still look at all those videos in amazement and keep all the people in Joplin in my prayers. I believe that had to be the #1 weather event in 2011. I know there were many other tragic tornados, but that Joplin tornado was a beast! Take care..
