Still sitting at 32.5° at my house right now. Waiting to see how far that temperature gets at or below freezing to see how much ice we get tonight. Right now it's just a cold rain with the temperature barely above freezing

Ended up with 1" at my location. It was beautiful. Took the kids on a snow chase to Lynchburg. It was snowing up their but then came back south about 10 miles and it was sleet. Very sharp cut off

Steady snow coming down at the house. Looks like the dry line is creeping northward. Then later today is when the sleet and ZR come.

It has gotten colder than what they were thinking at my home. It's 29.6 degrees with a dew point of 28.1

I remember a lot of ice storms when I was a kid... you said it exactly. Sounded like shotguns going off in the woods.

This upcoming pattern looks to be game on. Just need to get the moisture and cold teamed up!

Models have trended drier and warmer even up this way. Still may get a little snow in the morning and a little ZR but seeing warmer trends and not expecting much.

Just an absolute nasty ice storm showing up on guidance for up this way and other CAD favored areas.

As much as i love to see what the HRRR is showing, its only going to shift north IMO unfortunately to line up with other guidance.

If I go on a snow chase just to my north, that may be the better pictures I get. Mby might be better pictures of ice lol
