  1. Seasonal Trends............ Remember the mid February storm. Trended SE but corrected more amped at go time. Can't ignore this. NAM hints at it .....GFS fails SE as it usually does..........and the Euro will sit back and clean up. This will be a Redux of that storm, in spirit at least.
  2. It's funny how 2020 seems to be forgotten. I find myself remembering something from 2 years ago, thinking it was last year.
  3. Are you calling me Dori?? Wait....why did I ask you that??
  4. If we truly are 15-20 days ahead like many have said, then this could be bad. Imagine getting a 5" snow fall in the middle of May.
  5. SE MI/NW OH-------Credit to Channel 13
  6. Michigan schools being asked to go to remote for two weeks following spring break. Being a teacher in the schools, it is worse now than any other part of this pandemic. Good call from the inside.
  7. Not quite.....I teach in Michigan and we have tons of kids getting it. We just shut down our high school due to too many cases to contract trace. Kids are definitely showing it differently than they were 2-3 months ago. Way more symptomatic.
  8. The Thursday system has so much potential with the position of the high in Canada and the track of the low. I'm curious why there isn't more wintery precip on the northern edge with that?? one.
  9. I agree. This next wave won't(shouldn't) come with the sense of doom that the others have now that the most vulnerable are more protected. However, it will be the first real test.
  10. I want to be optimistic but there is something going on in Southern Michigan with cases. I work in a public school and we are dealing with issues we haven't seen all pandemic with cases. Not sure if it's a variant or what, but it seems way more contagious.
  11. I guess the only thing i'd argue is totally different antecedent conditions both on the surface and in the atmosphere, but your point is taken.
  12. I really wish I could live through something like that. Watching this helps me understand why my dad said it poured rain and stormed in NW Ohio prior to the snow. I can see the warm tongue do the reach around in this corner of the state the night before. He seems to remember 2 inches of ice under the snow.
  13. Weren't the indices all torching in Late January, for February prior to this cold and snow outbreak?? I remember every outlook for February as above to much above normal. We'll see I guess.
  14. Going from the Hottest Summer on record with 30+ days in the 90's to this just goes to show how variable our Climate is here at the 45ish parallel.
  15. That's really cool that you created these. Thank You.
  16. Toledo's 2 Storm Total hit 14.5" officially to make the 3rd biggest in history. It's weird as it just didn't feel that way spread out of over 2 days with multiple breaks. The wind made just enough drifting to cast doubt on such totals. Anyways, never thought I'd see that in my lifetime.
  17. I don't know if I'm missing something, but accuweather seems to be thinking this next system is gonna be pretty substantial for a lot of us. I even checked to see if I was looking at an outdated map.
  18. Officially 12.4" in Toledo. Pretty Epic. Peak came between 12-1:30am when I measured 2" . Really looked like a Blizzard for about 2 hours.
  19. Wow! This died quick. I've heard from some pretty reputable METS mention this will likely correct back west. Of course probably a lot frustrated posters with how this last one turned out for some. Maybe Eastern Ohio can finally get it's storm. Irony would have it turn left at the last minute and flip flop the emotions of the eastern seaboard and Eastern Ohio.
  20. ~10" here in Toledo. spoty reports of up to a foot in a lot of the burbs. Still waiting on the official tally at the airport
  21. Can NOT believe dry is air has worked into NW Ohio. It always finds a way. There's gotta be something about this location.
  22. This is my concern as well. Still very powdery and small flake size in Toledo. Perhaps better moister will do it.
  23. Thank you! Always appreciate your thoughts.
