  1. Your posts are a bit like somebody in Macon, GA lamenting the lack of snow in their area. It's like what do you expect? No offense to the fine people of Macon and any posters who may be from there.
  2. Pretty windy out there today. Looking ahead, it appears there are a lot of average to warmer than average days yet to come this month. Fine by me.
  3. That map illustrates what has been going on here for a while... a quarter inch here, a quarter inch there, but big individual rains have been avoiding.
  4. This is the time of year for a splotchy looking map. Convection can cause big differences over short distances.
  5. There probably would've been multiple tornado reports by now if low level flow were stronger. Still can't rule something out of course.

  7. It's iffy this far east but if a storm can go this afternoon, it could be a little interesting near that warm front.
  8. Yeah, the bars represent omega. Pretty strong/deep lift at that location at that time. You can get enhanced soundings (wind profiles) that may not be representative of conditions across the area. Can you post one without so much omega? Would be curious to see how those wind profiles look.
  9. Holy convective contamination on that forecast sounding.
  10. ORD did hit 90... first one in several weeks.
  11. May not happen but a reminder that it's transition time.
  12. Impressive. That breaks the daily record for Lexington and 98 ties the daily record for Louisville.
  13. Yeah, it's a day by day thing due to the marginal setup. I'd say ORD has about a 50/50 shot at hitting 90 today. 83 at 11 am and should have quite a bit of sun today. Is the 5 minute ob site working for you? Data is not available for me.
  14. Might have a shot at 90 next week. At least upper 80s looks achievable. This would be a little bit later than the average last 90 degree day but not wildly unusual.
  15. Footage of Dorian's approach and landfall in NC
  16. Leave it to you to nitpick over corner vs corners.
  17. Some of the Trump posts have been removed. It is one thing to talk about his statements regarding Dorian but this board is not the place for broader political discussions. It is mind boggling and embarrassing that anybody at this board or any wx enthusiast in general would try to explain away the cone comment. People are too quick to reflexively fall back into their corners.
