I know it will turn at some point. If anything, I may average a little more snow then you do but we are similar at the very least. Been quite a gradient since last winter though. I remember you having some lean times prior to last winter.
I have little confidence in the final piece being a good snowmaker around here. Is it possible? Yeah, but definitely worried it ends up too far east. Which means if the earlier waves don't come through then it could be ugly.
I came up with the perfect Chicago winter for beavis. 164.8" of snow. How did I come up with that number? It is the total when you combine each snowiest month from Oct to May.
I was looking at records for Columbus and it looks like the record for fewest number of days with measurable snow is 5. That is pretty unbelievable. It appears to be very anomalous though as the next fewest is quite a bit higher than that.
To be clear, even I am not so pessimistic with this one to be expecting all rain. Cold air will be pressing, but probably not in time to prevent some rain/ice around here.
Why bet against it. The all snow events here have pretty much been inch or less stuff, and the upcoming pattern does not look suppressed as there is pretty strong southeast ridging during this storm's timeframe. I dare mother nature to make it an all snow event.
