The GFS isn’t good, but it’s better than 12z imo. With that said, holding out hope that the icon and Canadian are right, probably isn’t the best forecasting technique.

With temps so marginal, I’m not super concerned about Ice around here yet. Further north and west could be another story. I hope this doesn’t come back to bite me.

I don’t think all hope is lost, but the trend is certainly concerning. We shall see what happens tonight and tomorrow morning with fully sampled data, but regardless of track we’re going to have to keep an eye on temps.

Not a great trend over the last couple runs. Warmer and further west. Who is surprised?

Agreed. There is definitely a lack of cold air that hasn’t really been discussed here.

I wouldn’t count it as locked in yet. It looks like we may not get fully sampled data until tomorrow (someone correct me if I’m wrong). Still several days out, good to see agreement, but I’m not fully on board yet.

Yep. Personally I think the chance of severe weather is higher than the chance of measurable snow around here.

Best snow of the day moved in about 4:30, just enough to turn the grass slightly white. Snowed for about 6 hours and picked up a dusting. Not great, but can’t complain too much. At least now I down have to feel bad for you all down in NWA when I’m rooting for a north shift next time.

I highly doubt I get any accumulation out of this. Just a few miles too far north for that. Good to see flakes none the less.

Yeah, I don’t think there is much doubt that someone is going to have WSW level snow fall from the sky, the question is how much will accumulate.

The kc snow hole has absolutely nothing on this area. I haven’t seen a snow of more than 2” since 2013

Greene county (Springfield) reported 17 deaths today alone, population is around 300k for reference. I would guess one Mobile morgue may not be enough

We got some hail last night. I consider that winter weather at this point.

Deniers are in a tough spot. Either there’s a ton of cases, or a bunch cases are false positives and the disease is more serious than we currently think.
