  1. Dry month so far. Worcester, PA. (Montgomery County) .14 for the whole month.
  2. Worcester, PA missed most of the rain all weekend. Total for the weekend through this AM is .05 and that was during the night today. .94 for the month. Grass is growing, but dust storm if cutting over a no grass area.
  3. Worcester, PA. 32.9 light snow. Ground is getting white. Roads still just wet. Update - My wife just got in and said roads are "not great". Getting covered.
  4. I think we may be headed for a mess with people not being aware of what appears to be about to happen. I was out doing some last minute food shopping and the stores are packed. Parking lots full. The front is through and in Worcester, PA. the temp has gone from 43 to 34.2 in less than an hour. Fastest drop is occurring now. Snow coming down sideways. IF and it seems like it is going to happen. the roads freeze over fast - motoroists will have a heck of a time getting home. In my opinion the snow may actually help with traction as compared to just black ice. On a positive note I did see a Penn Dot truck salting. Wind have gusted to 32 and power flickered once. Hope all of you a great Xmas and have power to enjoy it.
  5. Worcester, Pa. Right at 32 degrees. Roads are icy. Quite a few vehicle accidents in the area. Temp rose from about 27 to 32 in about an hour two hours.
  6. Worcester, PA 41.5 and light sleet.. Was 27.1 last night.
  7. Worcester, PA. For the event 4.23". That is pretty consistent with several sites in my area. Saw a 4.63 in Plymouth Twp, 4.43 in Lower Providence, etc. Surprised there was not more flooding. Shows how low the steams were.
  8. Worcester, PA. Rain was .23" with the line going through. Really came down for about 5 minutes - maybe less. Then a light rain for about 20 more minutes. Looking around it appears my general area was .2" to a higher amount over towards parts of Towamencin Twp. Closer to .45" at a site over that way. 1.89" for the month here in Worcester.
  9. Worcester, PA. Ended up with .62 for the event. Now at 1.66 for the month. Not great and quite a bit less than some others, but got a day off from watering the garden.
  10. Worcester, PA. .33 so far today. O yesterday. About 4 miles away I see a site with .67 for the day.
  11. Worcester, PA. For the month so far 8/1 to 8/16 1.04" of rain and most of that was in the first few days. Interesting, but not surprising how some locations not far away are well above that. Local showers and storms have consistently missed us or dissipated before getting here.
  12. Worcester, PA. Montgomery County. Just a few drops here mid afternoon. Not enough to show on the gauge. I'm at 1.17" for the month. Grass is really hurting and corn fields not looking good at all. Still at 88 degrees with a feels like 97.5.
  13. Worcester, Pa. All snow. 33 degrees. Rapid changecover with rapid temperature drop. Windy. Gonna be a nice event. I think this will be a surprise to many.
  14. Worcester, PA, Snow squall in process. Wind gust to 52.6. Down to 29.1.
  15. Worcester, PA. 4:30 PM. Got up to 20.7 today. Now 18.1 with a -4.9 dewpoint. Regardless of the storm event / miss It is COLD. Lets see what happens with the storm-sometimes there are surprises. (despite the models).
  16. Worcester, PA. 78.8 degrees - gust to 37.6
  17. Worcester, PA. 1 3/4" 30.9 - roads are covered.
  18. Worcester, PA. snow / sleet mix. More sleet than snow at the moment, but it goes back and forth. About 5". 23.7 degrees
  19. In Worcester it is Grange Ave. Worcester is eastern Montco. Skippack is western Montco. Not sure what line it follows in Towamencin etc.
  20. In no way am I saying the accumulated ice map as shown a few posts above will verify (or even close to it), but i feel there is way too little pubic awareness of what COULD be in store. If we get above .10 of ice then there could be a few power issues. Above .25 and some significant issues. Above .50 then ????????. I know the media is cautions to say much until it becomes "likely", and there is the issue of a huge range of difference between south Jersey and say Berks County - all in the same Philadelphia viewer coverage area, but if someone is caught off guard and they are 24 to 36 hours without power I think there will be a lot of "I wish I had known.
  21. Worcester, PA. 27.7 - freezing drizzle . Had been up to 29.1. Dew Point 11.5.
  22. Worcester, PA. 4.75 "' Some flakes are over 2" diameter. Not sure I have ever seen any so large (and I am not young). Beautiful picture outside.
