  1. Roxboro Lake but I got there after precip ended. There is a snow pic above.
  2. I had to go to Durham, so I figured why not take a brief trip up. I got some great foliage shots out of it too by the lake up there. Real nice colors!
  3. Got 10 minutes of snow/sleet in Roxboro, NC . Maxed at 75/25 snow/sleet.
  4. Looks like a nice early hit for my former home. Enjoy! Stowe is starting things off right as well.
  5. You can definitely write off any snow Tue: Tuesday: A cold front over the mtns Tuesday morning will quickly advance eastward through central NC by Tuesday aft/eve. The best chance for precipitation will be ahead of the front, with the cold air chasing the rain out of the area. As a result, do not anticipate any p-type issues, however rapid clearing and very strong CAA behind the front will yield a non-diurnal temperature trend during the day (temperatures will likely fall through the day rather than rise).
  6. That is a nice way to start off Enjoy!
  7. I loved my time there. I miss it everyday.
  8. Patchy Frost in Raleigh this morning.
  9. It is amazing how fast things can change with elevation down here. This is the iconic Linn Cove area on the Blue Ridge from when I stopped there a few days ago:
  10. I went back over my aerials and realized monitor calibration was off. Here are some of my best from down here (Note: the resolution on these attachments is quite low):
  11. I went back over my aerials for better edits as my monitor was messing me up. Here are a few of those (I am aware the resolution on these attachments are squashed quite a bit):
  12. It reminded of me of VT days yesterday in the mountains of NC
  13. Yeah definitely get it in now if you can. That will be it after those winds
  14. It exploded between 3,000 and 4,000ft in the NC Mountains almost overnight!
  15. The foliage has exploded on the rims of Linville gorge. Other good spots include the Pisgah national Forest above the Brown Mountain overlook on 181 and the west side of Grandfather Mountain
  16. Foliage in the NC Mountains is a patchwork rather than a blanket peak due to adverse conditions early on. The highest terrain has a lot of leaf drop and much of it has gone past peak. Where leaves are still changing, you can literally drive from almost all green to solid color around a corner or two. That is the product of a lot of micro climates (like cold hollows etc).
